Eye make up for dry eyes / blepharitis

Hoping Mumsnet can work it's magic!

I have dry eye syndrome / blepharitis which developed a couple of years ago.
Previous to this I could wear any make up I liked & had no issues.

I now struggle to find anything that I can tolerate.
I tend to use high end cosmetics due to generally sensitive skin, but all my usual brands are causing watery / sore eyes.

I have tried specialist places such as Butterflies eye care & Eye Care brand cosmetics, but they are rubbish & don't stay on.

I really need eye make up as I am old AF, very pale with light eyes & hair. I look extremely washed out & ghostly without a bit of eyeliner & mascara (& lipstick)

Has anyone found the holy grail of eye make-up for hyper sensitive eyes?!!

I’ve always had problems with eye makeup so have very rarely worn it. Recently I had some success with a L’Oréal paris mascara, lush paradise for sensitive eyes. I don’t wear it often but every time I have I’ve made it through an entire night without wanting to scratch my eyes out. Something I’ve never managed before.

That sounds very interesting @Coffeepot72, I’m going to look into that.

Not sure if this is any help & apologies if someone has already mentioned it (bit short on time to read all the thread). I have just started to take Sea Buckthorn Oil, one of the main reasons women take it is for dry eyes & other dry bits. I can’t say yet if it’s any cop but the reviews on various sites looked good so thought I’d give it a go, I got Pharma Nord.

I’ve stopped using eye makeup because it gives me blepharitis and instead I get hybrid eyelashes put on once a month. For me it works perfectly (I’ve been asked many times for my brand of mascara). My lash technician is brilliant - I told her I just want to look like I’m wearing mascara permanently rather than like I have fake lashes and that’s what she gives me.
