So if you had purchased a net a Porter advent half price... would you open it all at once if you were having a crappy day, or do it as an advent?

I'm planning to open all at once when it arrives later today. But I had one for advent, so this one is spares. Its really good! And such a bargain at half price!

It was beautifully packaged

I prefer skincare heavy as I like trying new things. I too am thinking of buying this for next year. DD and I shared a calendar this year and this would be great.

In the old days, people used to wear hairshirts to punish themselves. Now, we buy a beauty advent calendar in January and force ourselves to sit looking at it till February

Mine is downstairs and I am trying to convince myself to save it for February & make February a bit brighter. If I last till the weekend I'll be impressed with myself
