Curling tongs for beach waves

I’ve got hair just past my shoulder that is naturally straight (ish) fine and fairly thick (growing back after a substantial loss at the beginning of the pandemic). I’ve been using my Cloud 9 straightening irons to make curls, but I’m dyspraxic and struggle a bit getting the desired effect.

Can anyone recommend a tong (I don’t like wands as they are equally as challenging as the straightening iron) that will produce long lasting waves? I’m not too bothered about price, but the Dyson is getting a tad more than I want to spend.

Any help is appreciated.

babyliss curl secret?
pop the hair in, it sucks it up and then 8 seconds later you let go and you've got a curl :)
Then let your hair drop naturally.

I’ve seen that one. Do you have it @Danikm151? I’m worried about ending up with it snarled up in my hair and living the rest of my live with it dangling! 😁

If it's waves rather than curls, this would be good. You just clamp your hair between the plates and hold before moving down the length of the hair
