A friend has told me she sleeps with a silk eye mask and how wonderful it is. She can't sleep without it. I've tried in the past, and I just don't get it. Am I missing the point here? If it is wonderful I really would like to try it - will I have less wrinkles Smile? maybe it takes time to get used to? Does anyone here use one and love it?

I don't like sleeping masks as I don't like the dark 🤣 my two young ds's sometimes sleep in my ( super king ) if she is in their room because of an early start.

I bought them an m and s silk sleep mask each before Christmas and they have declared that they are amazing 🤣 possibly better than cotton ones if you use a sleep mask but I can't see any benefits other than to block out light unlike a silk pillow which is good for your hair and skin.

That was supposed to say if my Dh is in their room due to an early start.

I use a silk eye mask as several years after laser eye surgery I still get dry eyes. It seems to help with that.

I love a sleep mask. Silk is better for your skin as other fabrics can draw blood to the surface round your eyes. I can spend ages trying to go to sleep but as soon as I put my mask on, I drift off. It's like my eyes understand the mask is saying, time for bed. I don't wear it as much in the winter and the long nights, but it's vital in summer. Also if my husband puts on the light, it doesn't disturb me so he can read as long as he wants to without waking me or keeping me awake.
