Stella Mc C blazer - nice but men’s: ok?

I like it - dark blue wool, 2 buttons, very dry and minimal - oversized cos made for gents, reminds me of the 80s when the sleeves roll up.

Looks ok on, measurements the same as Massimo Dutti jackets in size 14.

Will people point and laff if I wear it as an oversized blazer? Esp as I am 54 and dignity is all?

This triggered the dilemma.

It depends how oversized it is on you? I don’t know if you use Instagram at all but I follow @themumlifestyled for fashion inspiration and she wears a lot of oversized blazers. The blazer she’s wearing in the last two pics is probably the most oversized I’d want to go, if that’s any help!

Have a look at KarenBritChick on YouTube. She wears a lot of oversized blazers and shows how to style them up. She looks great in them.

I'm a decade older than you, although I arguably have less dignity. and I bloody love a man's suit jacket. I find the main snags are;

  1. They're often stupidly big on the shoulders, but it sounds like you've tried this one on so hopefully that's not the case for you.
  2. Once you get used to wearing one, and particularly to all the inside pockets, you never want to go back.
