Date outfit - shoes

Hi

I've got a date on Saturday and I'm wearing a black fake leather mini skirt with tights and a black fine knit roll neck. I have no idea what shoes to wear, I think heels might look a bit slutty with the fake leather skirt and I'm not sure that's the look I want to give. Would flat lace up ankle boots look ok?

I've got a black biker jacket so I'll wear that with it.
Is it all too black??

I would go for either a pull on chunky Chelsea style boot or a block heel boot.

Why don't you just order online and then send back what you don't like?

I ordered a pair of biker boots from Matalan (they were fine) but have ordered from Asos footwear and so easy to return if you don't like them.

I'd wear platform ankle boots with that but I am short and I think the polo neck offsets the leather skirt so ok to wear heels.

Wear whatever is comfy. If your date is with a man, they never look below the knee.

Is there really a need for women to use language like “slutty” though?

Flat knee-high boots would be my choice. I find ankle boots make legs look stumpy unless someone is tall and slim.
