Has anyone bought any mostly wool or cashmere knitwear recently?

Just looking for something nice in the sales to replace some of my more acrylic jumpers.

Nearly New Cashmere is excellent. They're also well worth checking out for general knitwear care & advice. Super helpful.

I also rate Boden which, with discount codes, you can usually get a good deal on even their full price items. Always look through their sale though - they regularly have last seasons colours at a big discount. I add to my collection twice a year and despite some being now 10 years old & machine washed it all looks good.

I have a couple of Uniqlo cashmere knits too which have worn really well. I rarely wash my knits (leave them to air instead before putting back in the cupboard) but youngest DS being 17 and well, yeah, no need to expand on that! needs to wash his once a week and it still looks new after 6 months of wear & laundering.

Big ticket splurge: would highly recommend Bella Freud. You could even look at somewhere like Vestiare Collective for second hand if that doesn't bother you (as with Nearly New Cashmere). DH bought me an oversized cashmere polo neck last Christmas which I was terrified of washing it, having heard many horror stories online of BF knits being ruined unless dry cleaned. In the end, I took the advice of Nearly New Cashmere, put it in the washing machine on a wool cycle and it came out good as new!

Try eBay for cashmere. i have just bought a brand new William Lockie roll neck cashmere jumper for £31 - £265 in the shops. Bargain
