Tell me about DIY brow and lash tints

I'm thinking about tinting my brows and lashes and wondering about the different brands and products.

I'll go dark brown on the brows and black (blue-black?) on the lashes I think.

Can anyone give me any advice, and recommend products please?

I use refectocil in between appointments, I mix dark brown/black with the developer, I used to put Vaseline around my brows to protect the skin but found there was no need. Just tidy up with a q tip afterwards.
If I ever leave it on to long and it’s a bit dark I just have a shower straight after and it doesn’t look as harsh :)

Lashes I found sting like hell and never found it worth the faff, as it’s easy to smudge but that’s just me as I have dark lashes already.
