Trainers for dresses

I have a few pairs of chunky books that I wear with dresses but I'm looking for some trainers for spring. Any recommendations? Could spend a bit, but not Balenciaga prices! Will spend more if they're really versatile and I won't have them off my feet!

To be worn with pretty dresses and jeans if possible.

If you want to play safe, Converse, Veja or Superga. Of the three I'd piick Veja as the other 2 aren't great for ankle support.
Vejasare a bit hit and miss for comfort,

I have some Stan Smiths but I don't find them comfortable either

Thanks, I already have a few pairs of converse and they don't suit my feet, look a bit like banana!

Depends what you mean by "trainers". If you mean what I would call "plimsolls" , then Keds is the most feminine to wear with dresses.

Here's Taylor Swift wearing Keds.

I have loads of trainers but tend to wear white Stan Smiths with dresses. I’m going to buy a new pair for spring - although I am sure people will be along to say they are dated I think they are classic! (Also very excited to see posts popping up about spring fashion.)

Adidas sleek look nice.

Have a look at Air and Grace. I have a few pairs and they are ridiculously comfortable. Regularly wear mine with skirts and dresses. Similar prices to Veja.

Also, Golden Goose Superstar trainers look great with dresses... but they are far more expensive and nowhere near as comfortable as Air and Grace (well, mine aren't, anyway!). Definitely style over substance, but if you're not doing much walking, they might be a good option.

I have two pairs of Victoria trainers which I love and look good with dresses.
