Heard good stuff about their jeans, looking for flattering high rise

For me the best thing about their jeans is that they do 3 (or 4) leg lengths for each style. I go to a big branch and try on pretty much every style in my length and size. Last time I bought a pair of the Sienna high waisted straight and have been v happy with them. The time before (a couple of years back) I was really surprised to like some per Una tencel rich jeans - and I’d normally really turn up my nose at per una. So it’s definitely worth just going and trying stuff on in person there,

RampantIvy · 16/01/2022 09:00

They have a huge selection, and it is better to go to a store and try some on rather than ordering online as the sizing can be inconsistent between colours and ranges.

MercedesBenz · 16/01/2022 09:01

Yes I like the sienna too
But trying in is the best way to decide if you can go to a large branch

AgnesMcScrimp · 16/01/2022 10:36

The Per Una ones with TENCEL in the mix are so soft and comfy.

GemmaRuby · 16/01/2022 10:38

I have the mom jeans and balloon leg - very happy with both. Nice and sturdy - seem like they’ll last forever

yorkshireteaspoonie · 16/01/2022 11:02

I've got many a pair of their IVY high rise skinny jeans. Whilst they do lots of lengths I often have to order online for a longer leg as I can never find them I store.

HPLikecraft · 16/01/2022 11:17

I always buy M&S jeans as they are the only ones that fit me well. I like the sienna fit, too.
I used to buy the Per Una Roma fit; not sure if that still exists. They're good for 'pears'.

RampantIvy · 16/01/2022 11:34

M and S have certainly upped their game as far as jeans are concerned.

Hopeislost · 16/01/2022 13:34

Another vote for the Sienna straight legs - I have one pair which I love and am waiting for them to restock my size to buy them in 3/4 more colours!

Laburnam · 16/01/2022 14:16

Thank you I'm going to definitely pay a visit

Yep, Sienna, high waisted, super soft, straight leg, regular fit, black, size 20 here. They are soft and a bit stretchy, and comfortable, proper high rise for my belly...

Only thing I do not like is they need washing twice to stop the dye smelling and from rubbing off/transferring on my cream coat

OverByYer · 16/01/2022 14:28

Ive got the boyfriend ones, they have a high waist and I love them.

fizzyfood · 16/01/2022 14:29

Peruna £39 are great.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 25/01/2022 20:27

Ive just had a big trying on session at M&S - I already have the Mom and Boyfriend jeans and just thought I would give the straight leg a whirl.

I'm a curvy pear and chuffed to bits to find the Sienna supersoft were really flattering. Its the high rise and the leg.

I didn't buy them as torn - I am 5.6 and the short showed a bit of ankle and would be good with flat trainers and sandals. The regular had that legs for days effect and would be fab with boots for nights out. I need them both don't I?!

I'm thinking regular dark indigo and short mid wash.

I'm glad nothing else suited me as I'd be broke!

Rina66 · 25/01/2022 20:40

I have the Lily, which is a straight leg that I wear as ankle grazers. I think they're £19.00, amazing value, really flattering and wash well. Not too skinny so as to give me parsnip looking legs! I've got the blue, black and grey. I was a River Island or Top Shop fan, but I think M & S are better than both of them.

I'm with @Rina66 I live in my Lily's, I have various colours. For £19 you can't go wrong.

NatriumChloride · 25/01/2022 20:48

I’m with PPs - love M&S jeans! A recent discovery for me and they’re great! I plan to buy more. The Per Una ones are so soft a drape really nicely!

AnotherRandomUsernom · 25/01/2022 20:58

Loving everything about M&S at the moment, especially the jeans, jumpers and sweatshirts. Challenging myself to stay out of the place at the moment though for a good few months

Xiaoxiong · 25/01/2022 21:01

Another one to live in the Lily slim, I think I have them in 5 different colours!

YorkieTheRabbit · 25/01/2022 22:25

I bought Sophia and Lily jeans before Christmas, really happy with both

Twinkleylight · 26/01/2022 07:37

I bought Ivy in size 12 but they sagged the next day as they were too loose. The size 10 was too tight so no good for me as I seem to be in between the 2 sizes.

LizLemonsGlasses · 26/01/2022 07:44

Really liking M&S jeans too at the moment - I have two pairs of Lily jeans and two of their Boyfriend style. Love the light blue denim colour especially and it's a really nice quality of denim too.

Agree the sizing isn't always consistent though - length or waist! Ignore your 'usual' size and just go with what fits best. My local store isn't massive and doesn't stock a huge range so I often order multiple sizes and lengths, try on at home and then return what doesn't fit.

Snailhaterz2 · 26/01/2022 16:59

They seem to have stopped selling my favourite style -the Sophia - straight-legged and high waisted. Which at one point I had in 3 different colours, and also cropped for the summer. So, now I'll need to find another style, and the most similar seems to be the Sienna, only there seem to be two different types - one of which is 'soft' and another is 'supersoft' for another £10. So, I'm now a bit confused!

DaisyMum40 · 26/01/2022 19:38

Yes, I've just had to bin a pair of M&S jeans, not because they weren't good, but because they were such a good fit and so comfy that I wore them so often and eventually lost them to chub rub holes. So I'll be getting another pair ASAP. I'm currently wearing Dorothy Perkins ones, and they're alright but M&S my first choice. I also struggle with leg length and M&S have a good leg length choice too.

RebeccaManderley · 26/01/2022 19:57

I've been wearing the Carrie jeans, which are the best fit I've had for a lng time but sadly they are no longer selling them. I wanted to get more.
I have a pair of Ivy but they do not fit very well. I'm not sure what else to try.
