helenabonhamfarter · 15/01/2022 08:39

Polyester everywhere mainly

lookinggood · 15/01/2022 09:30

I buy 90% of my clothes in there! Why?

rc22 · 15/01/2022 09:31

I buy jeans in there. Occasionally I buy pyjamas or knickers there too.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 15/01/2022 09:32

I buy their pj's and had a lovely dressing gown from there. Jeans are good and they do in between sizes. So I have a size 15 jeggings. Kids clothes are also good. I've had some sweaters and tops from there and some gym t shirts. Also socks and knickers. Practically everything I wear ha ha

itwasntaparty · 15/01/2022 09:32

Knickers

whowhywhenwhat · 15/01/2022 09:32

I buy coated jeans because they are brilliant for walking in the rain. Smile

Doidontimmm · 15/01/2022 09:36

@teaandtoastwithmarmite they don’t do in between sizes? Never seen that and shop there all the time, just looked online & none advertised?!

Hoppinggreen · 15/01/2022 09:39

No I don’t.
I occasionally go in but never see anything I want
Nothing wrong with it, just not my cuppa

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 15/01/2022 09:39

Jeans.

They also have stuff from lots of other brands like Oliver Bonas and Seasalt.

I hate the Lypsy shit. Next can be really trashy and cheap, but the jeans are good.

LiveFromNewYork · 15/01/2022 09:42

Got some good gym tops there this week and some socks last year. I do think overall the quality is going down, lots of polyester, plastic zips on coats, things not washing that well etc, and there's a lot of vanity sizing going on.

I believe they have posted v positive profit expectations, some physical shops they were competing with have gone like Debenhams and Gap. And they manage to get a lot of returns taken into store rather than posted. Their click and collect is getting slicker too.

Crocky · 15/01/2022 09:44

I use their online shop. They have a variety of brands. Delivery, click and collect, returns all easy.

Google

'In between sizes next'

elelel · 15/01/2022 09:55

I use next a lot but they sell so many brands online it's just like going on Asos these days.

Itonlytakesonetree · 15/01/2022 09:58

Like a pp, I look in there a lot, but other than baby clothes when DD was v little (she's now 16) I've never found anything to buy in Next. Not my style at all.

Newcarday · 15/01/2022 10:02

I love their coats, always good quality

TheFormidableMrsC · 15/01/2022 10:06

I love Next trainers and sweatshirts. My son loves their skinny joggers. They also do some good jumpers.

Middleagedfrog · 15/01/2022 10:07

I bought Next jeans for DS and was impressed with the quality and thickness of the denim so bought a pair for me.
They have a decent range of waist and leg lengths in mens' jeans.

Doidontimmm · 15/01/2022 10:12

@elelel I googled, how interesting!! It’s only trousers though and can’t see any in the petite range which I buy hence never coming across it!

greatape · 15/01/2022 10:43

I got some good yoga stuff in the sale.

We have a small next in the town I live in - that and New Look. I wander in but usually wander out quite quick

I first saw it online and have seen some in the store too. Just select some online and it will give you the sizes.

TameDucksAtChatsworth · 16/01/2022 12:48

Their online shop is good-lots of brands and efficient delivery.

I bought two coatigans, which I was pleased with and a Superdry jumper for Dh.

I always have a look at their website if I'm in the market for buying something. I might not always but from there but they are always worthy of a look.

MumUndone · 16/01/2022 15:17

Yes I buy stuff online but can never find stuff in the actual shops. Jeans, sweatshirts, cardigans and kids clothes mainly, oh and branded trainers. I find the other stuff looks frumpy on me.

RavenT · 16/01/2022 15:20

Jeans.
Good for kids clothes.
Lots of variety online, super quick and reliable delivery/returns.

Bluebluemoon39 · 16/01/2022 15:26

I went in the other day to try and find something for my dm and it was awful. The clothes looked cheap and everything was big rollneck, cable-knit polyester shite.

My mum doesn't have expensive taste but there was literally nothing either she or I would ever wear.

I don't know whether it's just that it's the end of sale time of year and there's not that much new stuff in but even the jewellery section was mega-naff. And the shoes! I'd never noticed before how cheap the shoes look in there.

Sorry to anyone who loves it but I was genuinely walking around in mild shock - I used to buy quite a bit from there years ago and I was just surprised at how naff it all looked.

I think it's probably ok for everyday officewear or something.

Maybe it's just me that's changed though.
