Oh that sounds great!

Dirtygertie, I DETEST shopping but for Christmas did all of it except stockings, which dh did in person, online. So I don't feel as if I've shopped much. And I knew I wanted nice bed lined as we're about to buy a new mattress so I was waiting for the sales. Ditto some clothes. Online is the ONLY way I don't mind shopping actually!

foxinsocks · 26/12/2007 12:29

It is very much worth getting bedlinen in the sales - the discounts are huge and it's hard to get good 100% cotton stuff at any time.

Glad you had a nice time WWW. That's the thing about Christmas. It is bloody hard work isn't it! Thank god for champagne!

foxinsocks · 26/12/2007 12:29

at any time for a reasonable price I meant to say

foxinsocks · 26/12/2007 12:55

sorry www! I didn't mean to sound smug if I did (!) just wanted to recommend the M&S way for the food. It does make it SO much easier.

We don't normally do presents to each other - in fact, I still bought my own present (but it's easier that way), I just bought dh one because he's easier to buy for than I am!

WideWebWitch · 26/12/2007 13:01

Oh my word you didn't sound smug at all FIS, I WISHED I had done that yesterday! And cooking for 11 is a lot, well done! lol at asking your sister when she's going to book her flight!

Dh cooked but whinged about it (and apologised later) and the children didn't remotely care they just wanted to get to the presents which I said they couold do after lunch. M&S it is next year.

That sounds like a lovely present for your dh. we'll get presents for each other next time! I don't know why we thought it wouldn't matter, I would have loved to have had something to open other than a book I've already got and a mug, both from my mum Oh I lie, ds got me a cook book too.

foxinsocks · 26/12/2007 13:08

yes, that is poor.

You need to find dh's credit card and put it to good use now!

When is Gap's sale? I like getting the children's winter coats for next year in their sale.

There is bog all to buy

fizzbuzz · 26/12/2007 14:32

Agree BBB. I ahve been on Monsoon, M&S and John Lewis. Everything I want is out of stock....

FlllightAttendant · 26/12/2007 14:40

I admit I was on M&S last night looking at baby clothes (sold out of anything in 6-9mths)and ordered a reduced mattress as we neeeeed one. I haven't done anywhere else...brief foray into coats at topshop as need coat but all gone in my size...ordered dodgy one from marks in the end but will take back I think.
I don't need anything else atm. I need to pay off o/d quicklier. Is costing too much.

Oh and I rang a builing soc yesterday around 10pm, but they weren't in the mood for opening accounts. They have a preferential interest rate and I was panicking
