What boots with animal print midi

I want to wear my midi dress to a smart lunch event (🤞in May).
I have fur lined Dms (too winter), black suede cowboy style boots (flap around my lower calves making them look weird), shoe boots which look awful.
I can't do high heels
I don't know where to start looking for a boot or shoe to wear.
Sock boots? I can't find what I think I want as they have such high heels or are very clumpy
Any advice gratefully received

Personally I would get a second pair of DMs in a soft leather (not patent/shiny). Sounds like you already like the style and you’d get lots of use out of them.
What are your ankles like? Mine are sturdy so I need boots that fit tight around the ankle but people with slimmer ankles can look good with a flat Chelsea boot.

Skinny ankles and athletic legs. I think I am looking for something a big less clumpy than my beloved DMs!

Could we see the dress? I’m thinking slouchy boots or western boots, or sock boots but it depends on the dress

It is similar to this. But my ankle boots swim around my ankles and make my legs look weird as the boot flaps about!

sorry for crazy long links lol! but there are 3 different pairs of sock type style boots.

I think with midi dresses it is either the clumpier looking onea or sock boots that look best.

Sorry for massive link above! I wear similar knee high boots to this with my midi dresses, no flapping boots round ankles and no gap between dress and boot, looks great!

Either the slouch boots from the poster above or sock boots like the missguided ones further up!
