Skin care newbie

I’ve always been a baby wipe or water woman, with nothing else.

I turned 35 a few months ago and should probably start taking care of my face!

I never get spots
I sometimes get dry patches on the apples of my cheeks
I’m very pale and burn easily

Price wise, my make up bag is full of Estée Lauder, Benefit and Bare Minerals so something along those prices.

It sounds like you have a good deal there, with the no spots thing. However, bare in mind that a change in skincare can cause them.

For me, I imperfectly am trialing the Korean method. Pixi toner, followed by essence and serum (Revolution) then spf moisturizer. Spf 30 at the very least for you, 50 is best. My mother has hardly any wrinkles because of spf, so worth doing.

I hear Clinique has a good range, but I am not sure if they test on animals or not, so haven't tried the range.

Hmmm yes, I’m slowly changing everything I own as I run out to not tested on animal brands, I should have mentioned that.

Much my 4 sisters chagrin (and now my teen DDs) I didn’t even have spots as a teen Grin

There are so many products out there that it’s baffling to even browse them!

I'm early 40s, have dry sensitive skin and I am also pale. I use baby lotion as a cleansing lotion, I rub it in all over my face and wipe off with cotton wool, I then use Nuxe rêve de Miel face balm and Neve prodigieuse eye balm. Occasionally I add a few drops of Clarins blue orchid oil after. I also rate Bioderma Micellar water (pink lid) for a quick cleanse or to help with eye make up removal after the cream cleanse.

Sorry, Nuxe Prodigieuse eye balm.

Can you recommend any revolution serums @WorriedMumsDontSleep? I love them. I'm early thirties with some fine lines and some bumps under the skin on my cheeks? Currently use Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser and revolution retinol overnight cream (when I remember)

VodkaKnockers · 22/02/2022 01:32

I've just started using the Inkey List products and have definitely seen an improvement in my skin.

I got the super dewy serum. Beware of you have sensitive skin though, I have had to go back to another brand as it made me blotchy!
