I'm a busty 14/16. 5' 5''. Reasonable legs. Can do heels.

It's a ''stately home'' wedding. Not church.

TIA.

Just joking obvs.

For more info. I'm mother of the bride and i'm drawn to this because it's a bit floaty and not a pastel 2 piece.

I am struggling a bit.

My budget is £200 ish.

The slightest breath of wind and your grundies will be on show. Whether that bothers you or not is up to you!

CMOTDibbler · 13/01/2022 13:50

Not for MoB. Go to John Lewis and do a personal shopper thing to try lots of dresses on that will look more special. That dress would be OK as a guest, but not MoB worthy

HappyAsASandboy · 13/01/2022 13:51

I agree with the suggestion of a JL personal shopper session. Let them know it's MOB bit that you don't want a pastel two piece and they'll find lots of lovely suggestions, help you style them etc. I love JL persona shoppers!

True.

It def. would bother me.

I'm pulling a face at the thought of a personal shopper ...

What about this?

I realise this is totally different to the first one - this is why i would be a personal shoppers nightmare.

I don't think it is quite right. I don't think the fabric and cut is particularly classy. I think you can do better.

Appreciate the fabrics may not be to your taste but I really like the tea dress and wrap dresses (2 different styles) on shop.gabrielleparker.com/product-category/dresses/

HumourReplacementTherapy · 13/01/2022 13:59

I do like it but agree that you'll be holding the two sides together with your hand if it's windy.
I like their shirt dresses, have you thought about one of those instead?

Laiste · 13/01/2022 13:59

In magenta not black.

The Gabrielle Parker site - ooh lots of lovely dresses. I will trawl though them but at first glance i don't know it they're formal enough.

The pretty dress company: i've got a couple saved from there. I would like my arms covered. SOrry i should have said that.

HumourReplacementTherapy that silk fred one is lovely. The first pale pink with chain sort of design. It looks like you can fiddle about with the depth of the v neck. Which is good!

I do love pale pink.

I love this.

It's so cheap though it probably looks cheap in the flesh.

I wonder if anyone can find a more upmarket version?

Back again - there may be something on the Nancy Mac site. I love the fan fabric like this www.nancymac.co.uk/collections/print-dresses/products/sable-dress-in-french-navy-fan-print-crepe
There's also some lovely velvet coats.

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 13/01/2022 14:49

Something like this?

@Thecurtainsofdestiny that dark blue is very chic. If i end up going chic rather than floaty that is right up there.
