Shoes for this wedding dress help please!

I'm considering this dress for my wedding, I'll probably get it taken up a bit so it's not floor length but TBC.

The wedding is in a forest so I need some shoes which won't be impossible to walk or dance in. I used to be good with heels but haven't worn them for much of the last year.

I was thinking maybe a low-ish wedge? I have a love of espadrilles, maybe some with some navy and some sparkle? But I'm very open to suggestions, flat or low-medium heel though please. Probably going to add a sparkly belt to the dress to make it a bit more special but again, TBC

Please don't try and persuade me against the dress. I get SO worked up about dressed as I'm very busty and nothing ever looks good on me, but this dress makes me smile and feel happy and want to dance. There is a cold shoulder version in a pale grey/green which is lovely too and I'm going to try it on, but I've got no desire desire a 'normal' wedding dress so a navy one which I'll wear again fits the bill perfectly.

Off at a tangent www.zalando.co.uk/monki-rooney-boot-vegan-classic-ankle-boots-silver-metallic-moq11n012-d11.html in case it is muddy.

Ooh I love ankle boots, they're one of my signatures and I already own gold and bronze ones outing so these would be a good addition. Thanks

Doidon the sandals there are fab, thanks

Candy's I quite like them too, though they're too white.

I've never really looked on Etsy much, especially not for clothes. I think I might have to waste an evening or two on there .

Huge thanks for all the ideas

Dress is beautiful, it really suits you, you look fabulous in it.
I'd definitely wear with jewelled flats and have a pair of trainers on hand for later (just thinking if you're in a forest might need something a bit more substantial)
I'd wait u til SS collections come out. Kurt Geiger and dune are good for jewelled sandals.

Wedding in June you might get really hot feet in ankle boots!

I'd have a pair chosen for hot and dry and a pair chosen for colder or wet.

Laiste · 13/01/2022 14:20

Dress is really lovely by the way :)

thickthighs73 · 13/01/2022 14:25

Definitely a silver heel, silver and navy work well together.

IvorCutler · 13/01/2022 15:52

Yes for flats!

You look lovely in the dress!

haha I have a similar pair (not silver tho!) and I love them in summer with shorts and skirts. suits me as I'm 5 foot 2 so need all the height help I can get lol!

FoxgloveSummers · 13/01/2022 16:47

I wore some of these to a wedding in a similar setting and they were super comfy! They're a bit mad and disco looking but I liked that about them. www.clarks.co.uk/c/Maritsa70Strap/p/26160301

Love the dress & think you look fab in it

I would have several shoes ready (why not Blush) so i would have some sort of boots for the mus, metallic flip flops for comfort and so I could go barefoot if I wanted and easy to slip on /off to dance with/without & perhaps some jewelled flats and silver or metallic converse .. that mght cover my bases
