The body shop do a really good one if you don't mind shopping there

PragmaticWench · 12/01/2022 19:13

Bioderma do a good non-greasy factor 50 that is lovely for everyday. Biore Watery Essence is also really light and not at all greasy.

Huntswomanonthemove · 12/01/2022 19:13

Thanks.

I use Heliocare.

I’ve been using LaRoche-Posey last few years. It’s brilliant

BellaBella1984 · 13/01/2022 19:21

This one from La Roche Possay is super lightweight and non greasy. This doesn't cause me to break out in either eczema or acne, and I've never had a problem with it getting sweaty and running into my eyes.

And this one is my go to "no UV is getting through this mother" sunscreen. It is thicker and harder to rub in but it is on another level in terms of protection. If you're ginger and going to be outside from, well, basically May-September this is your buddy!

The teal Biore UV aqua rich - it's Japanese and amazing. Super lightweight but factor 50+, also just a great base for under makeup as it's non-greasy or tacky. I've tried the La Roche Possay and found it did still leave a sort of film on my skin and wasn't good under makeup, but I do have a very oily t-zone.

LemonRedwood · 13/01/2022 19:34

I use ambre solaire for kids factor 50 as I find it's not greasy like the normal stuff. Sits well under makeup as long as I wait about 5 minutes between applying and putting make up on.

I second this one. Super light and sits well under make up.

Boots soltan sensitive face spf50 is great

Flockameanie · 13/01/2022 19:45

I didn’t like the LRP one. I’ve used Biore watery essence (ordered via Amazon) for a while and it’s very light, absorbs instantly, doesn’t leave a sticky residue and doesn’t give me spots (unlike most other sunscreen), but I’m not entirely convinced of it’s spf qualities (I feel I still get colour on my face in the summer) and I’m looking for an alternative I can get not on Amazon

I read good things on here about a Nivea ‘no shine’ one you can get from Boots, so I’m going to try that.

cobblers123 · 13/01/2022 19:46

I also use La Roche one too. I've had skin cancer resulting in surgery and am paranoid about protecting my face now. I've also used Avon sun products that are 50 spf and found them quite good.

I have really sensitive skin and vitiligo, so I burn on a moderately sunny day in like...5 minutes!
For the last 5 years I have used Altruist factor 50 and it is a game changer. In the spring/ summer I use it as a moisturiser under my make up every day, it is an excellent base. I also use this on my 3YO son and have done since he was 6 months old. Never any reaction or any sunburn.
Amazingly the stuff is really reasonably priced AND they support albino children in Africa!

Garnier super UV SPF 50 dark spot protector
I sat down with the above LRP Shaka fluid ingredients list and I cannot see any difference. Is less than half the price and contains the stable (triazine/triazone) chemical filters.

I've just ordered this one to try. Thanks for all the recommendations.

Guinot sun logic.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 13/01/2022 22:27

Agree @Flockameanie, I got quite a lot of colour on my face last summer even though I was wearing it every day.

I might try the Boots one mentioned above.

FindingMeno · 13/01/2022 22:29

Altruist.

Flockameanie · 14/01/2022 20:05

I’m tempted by Atruist but it gets some terrible reviews on Amazon! Those of you who use it, is it the facial one or just the sunscreen?

VitalsStable · 14/01/2022 20:35

Lancaster ones are brilliant, they do a factor 50 with a slight sheen which doesn't hurt your eyes if you sweat whilst wearing it,
