Perhaps someone here has a personal experience with this. I've noticed that my default expression is :( I look even sadder than I am!
Can I change it so I at least look like :I ?
I understand that it comes from being unhappy a lot, it's a bit hard to be cheerful as the pandemic and my personal problems are continuing, but maybe there is some tricks I could do?

Can you afford Botox? It's the only thing that's rid me of the frowny look!

I’m the same, it’s more resting bitch face tho Grin I’ve found that putting a lip colour on helps (if you’re into make up) at least then it looks like a more deliberate moody pout. I feel better generally with a bit of make up on too though.

I don't think it's because of being unhappy ( unless you are) I have this problem my older sister and my mother to as they got older, it get worse as we age, god ageing sucks.

I have this issue. I try to accentuate my eyes which I feel takes the attention away from my miserable look.

Are you talking about lines at the side of your mouth ?

I used to rest my face with lips totally relaxed and my tongue sitting at the bottom of my mouth. Now I rest my face with my tongue on the roof of my mouth and my lips slightly pursed, which feels just as comfortable and relaxed to me now. People respond to me totally differently than they used to, people either used to assume I was gormless or sad, now they talk to me or smile. Weirdly even behind a mask it makes a difference! It's because I had a problem with my jaw muscles I had to relearn how to 'rest' my face.

Thank you Andtheyalllookjustthesame that's the sort of tip I'm looking for!
I saw a photo of myself today and my mouth looked exactly like this: (

It really can change people's faces a lot just by adjusting your mouth and tongue position. It takes a while to get used to, but it comes naturally to me now and has improved my bruxism and TMD pain as well as my appearance.

Photos aren't me just for example!
