What treatments has she had? (Pics)

I'm about to post two photos of an actress - Lucy Jo Hudson. She is one of many who I suspect have had similar 'work' done so not singling her out for any particular reason, I just saw her on a TV clip and found these pics for good comparison.

My question is, aside from obvious weight loss, what takes the face shape from round and almost featureless to pixie shape? I like the look and wondering what areas are treatments are used I.e. fillers, relaxants etc.

@Marchingredsoldiers that has happened to me. My dd also has a round little face without much definition (although very cute) and I imagine it will change as mine did in my late teens/early twenties. It’s ‘puppy fat’, horrible as that term is.

@SummaLuvin

I don't think this thread is in the spirit of MN. I wish posters would stop trying to make MN the site for all the bitter, bitchy celeb gossip. Tattle is right there - go use it as it's cynical, jaded-hearted owners intended.

While I understand where this poster is coming from, I disagree. The OP wants to understand how Lucy Jo transformed from A to B, there isn't anything inherently wrong with cosmetic procedures, so I don't agree this is 'bitchy'. I actually think an understanding of the cosmetic enhancements used by celebrities by the bucket load is really important for 'normal' women. While we are sitting here thinking - what did I do wrong, why doesn't my skin look so smooth, how did she get those cheekbones... - celebrities pay £000's to look the way they do, so of course we don't look as fresh/chiselled/perfected with our budgets. And the celebrities (for the most part) are happy to imply it's all diet/exercise/makeup/genetics and so on, all of which adds into the feeling of inferiority, when secretly it's paid for enhancements.

Could kind of understand if the celebrity had said they had surgery and it was "out there" for discussion, but in this case there is no quote where they have suggested they've had surgery or cosmetic procedures so yes it is bitchy celeb gossip.

Celebrity?

Bluesheep8 · 11/01/2022 13:00

round and almost featureless

Isn't how I'd describe the first pic

mewkins · 11/01/2022 13:03

She's only 38! She looks perfectly normal for 38! Lots of people (including me and my kids) have chubby faces when young. I'm in my early 40s and this is starting to change. Faces change over time. Have you ever looked at an old photo and marvelled at how baby faced you looked? It is normal.

IvorCutler · 11/01/2022 13:13

Exactly @mewkins

BrocolliHamster · 11/01/2022 13:26

Another option could be orthodontic treatment to correct a slight underbite.

inheritancetrack · 11/01/2022 13:30

Nose looks straighter, but weight loss is the main thing

PolkaDot456 · 11/01/2022 13:37

That's interesting that noone thinks there's been much done. I'm not saying she has had anything done, but I've seen lots of people in the public eye develop a pixie shaped face. I accept she was quite young in the first image but I do feel she looked like thisnfor a while after, then disappeared from the public eye and came back slimmer and looking very different - she is now in Hollyoaks and it was on a clip for that where I noticed her today and prompted the post.

I wasn't meaning to be bitchy, I think she looks lovely and I'd aspire to that face structure so perhaps instead of asking what has she had done, I should ask, what face sculpting options are available beyond botox that would achieve the square jaw, pointy well angled smooth chin and cheeks and high cheekbones look that is becoming popular?

She has way more make up on in the second picture, make up can be truly transformational if you know what you're doing, or know someone who does. I also agree she has lost volume from her face through age. I suppose its interesting as to why instead of sagging with age around the jowls etc, her jawline looks sharper.

Bluebluemoon · 11/01/2022 14:59

She just looks older and slimmer to me with a definite touch of Botox (shown by the ultra smooth forehead and no laughter lines)
She looks great though.

She wouldn't have jowls at 38 though. I think she has just less chubby cheeks making her jawline stand out more.
Blossomtoes · 11/01/2022 15:54

@Marchingredsoldiers

I get where you coming from OP. I wondered the same about peaches geldof. Her face was round when younger but her chin and jawline became much more defined as she got older. I've never noticed this change in real life!
You’re not looking then. My face became much more angular and defined with age.
IamGusFring · 11/01/2022 16:33

She's lost her baby fat .

IamGusFring · 11/01/2022 16:35

www.ok.co.uk/lifestyle/lucy-jo-hudson-amazing-transformation-14545101 Look at these photos - there is not a lot of difference other than age and make up.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 11/01/2022 16:37

This is a good website for showing all the micro procedures celebs have . On some people their transformation is obvious but some celebs who you might assume to be all natural have usually still had a tweak or two.

schmalex · 11/01/2022 16:38

Might be chin/jawline fillers. I've had these and they're very subtle but do give you a bit more definition.

Also, she's smiling v the grimace in the first photo. That can make a big difference.

Nose job and weight loss

Skeumorph · 11/01/2022 17:24

She looks massively older in the second photo.

Rosebuud · 11/01/2022 18:48

Op the other thing is she was still a teen, maybe twenty in the first pic. The second she’s late thirties, and a lot slimmer

I don’t think there is anything you can do to look like her that wouldn’t be drastic and obvious. You can see in the first pic that’s her face shape, she’s just slimmed down and aged.

5128gap · 11/01/2022 21:55

Botox in 11s certainly. You can see the white flat area. Possibly some cheek filler as her apples look plump for someone who has lost weight. (Not being unkind, as i speak from experience, her work is good, very subtle) The rest is contouring.
