crewneck tops just dont suit me

I have fairly broad shoulders that simply dont accommodate crew neck style tops. Getting a bit fed up with most of the tops out there. Anyone else has any tips of how to stay current without crew necks?

Do you need to wear a crew neck to be current?

What about polo neck or scoop neck? Or sweetheart neckline, shallow v?

Me too. The current crew neck, baggy jumpers make me look awful. I can get away with one in black if it is fitted.

(I did the 1990s first time round and it was a nightmare - broad shoulders, big boobs).

Long hair was the only way i could break up a crew neck. Other necklines are available.

Me too, I have this shape, I keep my hair long, which helps I think, the worse style I tried is the louse jumper even with a v neck it just hangs off my shoulders and from the back makes the shoulders look even wider. Most of my jumpers are slightly fitted and definitely go in at the waist, I have always hated jumpers and sweatshirts, this must be why I never feel good in them, but I feel the cold what else can I wear, my daily wear all winter is, thermal, jumper, and sometimes a long cardigan with jeans or leggings, roll on the summer.

I also did the 90s the first time around but I am sure that there were a lot more v necks around. Other styles are obviously available but there aren't as many jumpers with a different neckline around at the moment. Plus a v neck jumper with wider trousers just makes me feel like I never left 1997. I actually don't have any boobs, my shape is just an inverted triangle but even without boobs a crewneck makes me look very squarish as am only 5.1

Something that creates vertical lines to break up the big block of chest! A scarf, long pendant necklace, open jacket or gilet.

They are harder to find, but boat or slash necks are a much better look for me too.

louse jumper
A louse jumper wouldn't fit me

I can wear tshirts if the sleeve is not cut too close to the arm. For example this one, I am 12/14 and bought 14:

I spent some time looking at Rebecca Adlingtons Instagram page (olympic swimmer with broad shoulders) for style ideas.

I find boatnecks are the best on me. They seem to even everything up. And a three quarter length sleeve.

J crew cotton scoop neck t shirts are the best for me. Or deep v necked /grandad type tops. Sometimes h&m have them in stock - the linen summer ones were particularly good.
