Nice masks

My favourite masks have all seen better days - where are we all getting nice cloth masks from? Don't want flowery or too much pattern. Thank you!

Are you wanting a nose wire? Is the level of protection important to you?

reallyagain · 11/01/2022 09:57

No, just something that looks quite nice out and about into shops

Watching with interest as was also thinking of treating myself to some nice new ones.

I wear glasses so am particularly interested in any that might stop them steaming up!

If you get a tissue and fold it lengthways around 3 or 4 times so you end up with a thick strip. Then put it under the top of your mask cushioning like a door stop. You mould it to your nose and cheeks so that the warm breath is absorbed by it. Pop your specs just over the outside of the mask to hold it all on place.

You could use kitchen towel or toilet paper if a tissue isn't handy.

@Cailleach1 - thanks! I'll try that!

I get mine from Seasalt - very good quality and best designed ones. They have a wire and non-wire option.

Not sure what price range you’re looking for, but I get silk masks from this Etsy shop. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/AtelierJST?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1157134941

Etsy, Ebay, Amazon.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look at these now

I got some from Lakeland last week, and also saw some in Dunelm.

Medievalist · 12/01/2022 08:41

There's no difficulty finding masks - loads of places sell them. I'd be interested in any more recommendations of ones that are particularly comfortable to wear.

IvorCutler · 12/01/2022 08:43

I’m buying ffp2 ones now as the fabric ones seem a bit useless (unless you’re doubling up with a medical mask). Amazon have coloured ones.

IvorCutler · 12/01/2022 08:45

I’ve previously bought nice (and comfortable) fabric ones from Maje, Escada and Malene Birger

ASkyPaintedGold · 12/01/2022 08:51

Uniqlo AIRism masks are lovely and comfortable - they are plain & simple and the fabric they are made of is very soft. I wore one for a couple of hours this week and it was by far the most comfortable mask I have.

maddy68 · 12/01/2022 08:57

I bought a triple pack from Primark theyre really pretty and comfy

RichTeaCheddars · 12/01/2022 11:12

Any recommendations for a slightly smaller fitting mask?

I bought some from WH Smith in nice patterns in the child size for myself.
