Bare legs or tights?

I'm going to an indoor function room black tue dinner. My legs are ok and I could self tan but would you wear tights at this time if year? I have two dress options. Just below the knee ...Black or navy crepe slightly swishy / flared.
What leg option and what would be my ideal shoe? Currently got silver sandal but I'm a bit meh about them

I'm a big fan of natural tan tights (not to be confused with orange tan), I like the look they give. They even out my skin tone, offer I slight bit of colour and make me feel confident. I go for M&S natural tan in matte.

I would go bare legged.

If you are wearing sandals and they are open toed then I would go with tanned bare legs. If you decide on some closed toe shoes then I would probably wear tights (not opaque)

Bare legged. “Natural” tights make me think of my Nan tbh.

You can get some really natural looking natural coloured tights these days.

Not nan looking at all Grin

It depends on the quality, a decent pair from M&S will look very natural and classy. Like with anything, you get what you pay for.

I'd really go for bare legged. The last time I wore tights which were nude for a special occasion - they were those ones you could wear with sandals and I was bridesmaid but I wish I'd have gone bare! It was freezing though and rained all (or most of the day) and we were partly outside.

@BusterGonad - I got my tights which were bloody expensive (think Wolford or more) and they looked great apart from the toe area!

Re shoes - you could do a nice stiletto (Loubous) or maybe an open toed strappy shoe/sandal with a heel.

I think black or navy shoes would look better than a silver sandal.

@Gonnagetgoing - I need a pair that would suit both as will wear both frocks (not on same night- costume change isn't my plan) as another event coming up and can't afford 2 pairs. My beloved gold verging on bronze wedges (very thin look like a stiletto from the back) are nearly dead.
