Morning.WFH.
Tried not to wear head to toe M&S but failed.
Husband was reading the news last night and expressed surprise that M&S clothes sales were doing so well.I tried not to look guilty.The top is a thin roll neck and the skirt a £13 sale bargain.

I’m in my 5th dress of the week, and I’m not even close to having worked my way through my dress collection . I’m WFH today, so I’ve added a gilet because it’s quite cold this morning.

The blouse is Sézane but I won’t be buying any new items from them following a huge racist error on their part that has blown up all over social media. So that helps my New Years resolution but as you all know I love their clothes but I try to only buy from ethical retailers. Breaks my heart I was taken in

First timer here, got back from school and post office run and dared myself to post.

Coat - Great Plains
Sweater - Brave Soul
Jeans - Don’t Think Twice (think bought on Silkfred but could have been ASOS)
Boots - Schuh (very comfortable and surprisingly warm)

I’ve lurked on these threads before and what I really appreciate is the diversity and everybody’s confidence their own style choices

@Sooverthemill I was reading about the sezane scandal yesterday, absolutely gross. Their stuff is beautiful but I couldn’t knowingly buy from a company who treated people like that either. Anthropologie are another one who have had their issues… racially profiling customers in the states and treating many of their black employees very badly.

@IvorCutler yes it’s dreadful and Sézane are just deleting all opposition to their position on social media. I’ve been shocked by some people I was ‘friends’ with who think it doesn’t matter. To me it does x

@Sooverthemill I was also shocked to not only see what Sézane had done in Mexico, but also their subsequent (non) response to it. I was already cross with them after a return shambles that nearly left me £££ out of pocket, but that's definitely it for me now - I won't be buying anything more.

Todays it's a survival day due to DD being up in the night - I am so very tired.

Really like the Eribe jumper @PalacePaper, everyone looking so great in their knitwear has me really tempted to invest, but every time I check they're all out of stock. Probably not a bad thing for my finances, though!

I went for the electronica/cult vibes today as took DS for a potter in town. Super pleased with my new boots, they're sturdy and very comfortable.

Boots and jumpsuit - Cos
Polo neck - H&M

Worn with my long Cos puffer coat when out.

Popped into M&S, mainly because DS is obsessed with their gingerbread biscuits, and came out with this skirt and top, both from the sale. I'm really pleased. Skirt was only £17 and moves beautifully when on and feels a lot more expensive than it was. I'd ordered one from Hush to try (mainly because I'd wanted this M&S one but it was out of stock) but I can send that one back when it arrives now as the skirt and top from M&S were cheaper together than just the skirt from Hush, so feels like a bit of a bargain! Also had some eBay bargains arrive today - this Me+Em dress for £42 and these Mint Velvet boots for £10. Thrilled with both of them and going to have to keep an eye out for more Me+Em stuff on eBay in the future!

I've been a lot more spendy than usual this month. Sold off a load of Lucy & Yak stuff that I wasn't really enjoying any more and used that and allocated a chunk of a forthcoming work bonus to treat myself. Need to rein it back in again next month, though, as I have lots of lovely new bits that have filled the gaps in my wardrobe now and I don't need any more or it will get hopelessly over full again and my ruthlessness will be for naught! I've got one more treat on its way (which I only ordered as it's been out of stock forever and when I randomly checked last night there happened to be one back in stock in my size!) and then I'm back to being sensible! I normally allow myself a bit of a blowout in the January sales as I love winter clothing and rarely buy much in the summer, as I find summer clothes really don't appeal to me, so make the most of reduced winter clothes while I can!
