@Chrispackhamspoodle I buy and sell on Vinted. If you want to we could swap profile names as I think we have similar taste and are a similar size? If so just PM me.
Vinted is easy but cheap. You don't get the faff and the angst that some buyers put you through on ebay so I prefer it as a seller. It's much more laid back, you don't get bombarded with questions about exact measurements of the second hand garment you are selling for two quid like you do on ebay and there isn't that expectation that the garment will be in pristine new condition even though it's a couple of years old (you can probably tell I think some ebay buyers have unrealistic expectations over second hand clothes). To be honest I see Vinted as more of a 'clothes swap' site as that's essentially what you are doing. You won't make a huge amount of profit so for decent labels I would still sell on ebay. High street stuff or much older higher end stuff is fine for Vinted.

@Chrispackhamspoodle I agree with @EllaPaella about Vinted being essentially a clothes swap: £4 might seem ridiculous cheap to sell your jeans for, but its all relative as you can buy another pair for that price.

I’ve sold several “bundles” too - mainly kids clothes, but I sold about 10 ladies dresses to one single buyer - they were all £5 each so I made a decent amount.

@EllaPaella I’ve had a couple of troublesome buyers, but I’ve sold over 150 items and the vast majority of transactions have been fine. Again as a buyer most stuff has been fine, couple of things where they were slightly more worn than I hoped but nothing dreadful and it’s the risk you take buying secondhand isn’t it

I've never sold anything on Vinted! Not anything at all so I now sell only on eBay.I sell at the suggested prices that come up for buy it now. I've made a lot of money selling off my old clothes. I did have a real pita yesterday and today but that wasn't a clothes item, something I'd listed as collection only and a potential buyer gave me so much grief about not posting ( it's huge) I almost cancelled the listing but today I sold it! I buy from depop too but only a couple of times from Vinted

Softpebbles · 15/02/2022 21:42

I’ve bought from Vinted but never sold. I think in hindsight my prices were too high.

I’ve done bits on eBay. I have a Barbour jacket and a north face jacket to sell. To be honest I have charity bagged some really good bits. It gets to the point I just can’t be bothered!

Twateralflow · 15/02/2022 21:50

@Softpebbles what size and colour North Face Jacket as I'm looking for one for my daughter

Chrispackhamspoodle · 15/02/2022 21:51

Thank you @KiteflyingKitty @EllaPaella and @Sooverthemill that's really helpful.I'll use both in that case @EllaPaella I'll sent you my username.Had a quick look and it looks dangerous...so much cheap stuff so I must try not to buy anything.

OublietteBravo · 15/02/2022 21:57

I can’t seem to get on with Vinted at all. The structure of the site just doesn’t work for me. I use eBay a bit. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed, so I try and limit the number of things I have listed at any one point in time. I think I make about £100 per month (although inevitably some of this goes straight back on purchasing second hand clothes).

Chrispackhamspoodle · 15/02/2022 22:01

@Softpebbles I know what you mean.It is a hassle but I have done quite well in the past on Ebay so it can be worth it.I might change my mind when I still haven't got round to uploading anything by March.

Chrispackhamspoodle · 15/02/2022 22:03

@OublietteBravo that's a really good amount.Love your Fold dress by the way.@KiteflyingKitty I really liked your black jeans and boots outfit today too.

Softpebbles · 16/02/2022 07:46

I usually make about £150-200 a month selling old clothes on eBay. Takes a few minutes per item to load on app. I do it in between eating my breakfast and emptying the dishwasher! Just be ruthless about photos and adding measurements

I absolutely love that blouse @Sooverthemill and your The Fold dress @OublietteBravo. Smile

Extremely boring amalgamation of the outfits I posted last for me today. I started work a bit late and managed a lovely, long, if very windy, walk with the dogs after the nursery run this morning. It was lovely to be out, but hence I'm pretty scruffy today as no video calls or anything either.

Jumper - Hush
Leggings - Sweaty Betty

I'm off to a Boden warehouse sale tomorrow with my DM. Quite excited to see what's there, although I think the prices have gone up significantly since the last time we did one in 2019.

I like your hush top @toastfiend but after their joggers virtually disintegrated on me I've sworn them off! Hmm...
Beautiful dress @OublietteBravo, definitely an investment piece!

I'm still very casual today, and feeling somewhat uninspired by clothes. I love both these though - jeans are Sainsbury's and jumper from Zara.

toastfiend · 16/02/2022 13:06

Thanks @Pigtailsandall. Smile I have to say, I bought it from an overstock clearance place and it was £17. I like it and it's perfectly fine quality but I'd have been very disappointed with it if I'd paid full price as it's not really got any kind of lining and feels pretty average quality wise - no better than Primark, really. I do like Hush but I find then quite hit and miss and wouldn't generally buy full price as I think the quality often doesn't match up to the price point. I bought some of their joggers recently and they went back because they felt flimsy and poorly made. My M&S £15 ones feel better quality! I do like their oversized boyfriend style t-shirts and jumpers, though, and I have a dress from them that feels like nice quality and sits really nicely so has been cut well. Very hit and miss, though!

EllaPaella · 16/02/2022 15:48

@Shannith The parcel has been delivered but I wasn't in so it's been taken to my local sorting office. It looks like you addressed to my username so not sure if they will let me collect it as my ID is obviously all in my actual name but as soo as I have picked up I will post some pics of the blazer and top.
