Dark red lipstick - no orange roses?

I need new lipstick, and I need inspiration. I always wear red lippy, it brightens my face and my rather dull skin tone. But I'm wearing a lot of purple and blue at the moment, and my current lip colours look too orange on me. Can anyone suggest what I need to look for? Is there such a thing as are with able undertone - that isn't purple, purple lips are never going to be my thing!

A RED with a BLUE undertone.... ffs, I can spell, honestly!

I think Mac Ruby Woo is the classic but it is very matte abs can be a bit drying. I normally put some vaseline underneath it.

Interested to see what else gets recommended. I'd like a creamier but still blue toned red.

Becca Ruby is my go to proper blue based red. I don't do well with Matt lipsticks, and the formulation is gorgeous and creamy.

I have this and I agree it is stunning, and wears really nicely, but I wouldn't call it a 'dark red', rather a true red. She has other reds in the range, Velvet Jazz was my first thought, a darker 20's style red.
