Please dress my short, 5ft 10, 36 C, 30 waist, 34 hip body with a round tubby and as you can see not a lot of waist.
I need an outfit for theatre and drinks in London xxx

What were you thinking of wearing

LiveFromNewYork · 08/01/2022 21:16

Most things go in London!

Disabrie22 · 08/01/2022 21:17

A long sleeved stylish dress? I can’t find anything I like - please help

Oh bless, you could wear anything for that. Do you have a favourite outfit or look?

Disabrie22 · 08/01/2022 21:58

Anything that doesn’t make me look like a sack of potatoes with no waist! I can’t wear high necks and look best in a v or big scoop as have broad shoulders.

As the other poster said, London people are very informal. Just make sure you’ve got a nice coat. And comfy shoes

TooWicked · 08/01/2022 22:17

I love London theatre and going for drinks and dinner before or afterwards.

I’ve been dressed up to the nines, and been straight from a day of shopping in jeans and trainers.

Which shops do you normally buy clothes from?

Disabrie22 · 08/01/2022 23:22

Hush, monsoon, sosander

OP you say short but to me 5ft 10 is tall! It sounds like a wrap dress may possibly be the way to go.

Singalongsingsong · 08/01/2022 23:25

5 foot 10 is short???! I wish I was 5foot 10 with 34 inch hips…

Ohmycron · 08/01/2022 23:30

Oh Jesus. It’s 2022. Stop with wrap dressss

TooWicked · 08/01/2022 23:31

I think she meant 5ft, size 10.

Not 5ft 10.

Ohmycron · 08/01/2022 23:32

Then she’s tiny and short. What’s the problem

Flyinggeese1234 · 09/01/2022 00:09

OP something like this is what I’d go for. With tights and ankle boots.

Flyinggeese1234 · 09/01/2022 00:11

Hey?! So what’s your better suggestion? I think a wrap dress with tie belted waist, and boots looks fab and very current. I have no idea what you mean.
Disabrie22 · 09/01/2022 13:29

That is really nice thank you

Off topic, but if you are a size 10 you are very unlikely to be a 36 c bra. You might feel a bit better about your figure if you're in something that fits ☺️ check out boob or bust, or one of the many threads on here.

Disabrie22 · 09/01/2022 17:19

I just had my boobs measured so know this is correct. Maybe I am squeezing into a ten? 😂😂 my problem is a fairly non existent waist and back fat - makes dressing hard

They're extremely flattering for certain shapes, no matter what year it is!

KnobJockey · 09/01/2022 21:26

@Disabrie22 did you have it done at m&s? If you're a straight up and down figure like you said you are, with a 30 inch waist, do you think there is a 6 inch difference between under your bust and your waist? As to me, that would be more of an hourglass figure. The old way of measuring used to add 4 inches to the under bust measurement, but it doesn't work to do that nowadays as marerials are so different to when they decided that method. You're more likely to be a 32DD ish.

Anyway, what sort of style do you like for clothing? I've seen a few bits in my quirky style on Joanie and sugar hil Brighton, but I like an odd design.

Disabrie22 · 09/01/2022 22:52

My problem is I just feel completely lost - I go on colour - more coral, deep pinks and something flatters my tummy and lack of shape
