Help me dress up this dress for a wedding

Spotty dress

I'm going to a wedding next month. I've tried on every dress in every online shop and sent every one back. Finally settled on the above which is ok-ish (still loads better than anything else I've seen). I'm a 10-12, pear. It's likely to be cold outside, hence the long sleeves, but ceremony and reception are all in one venue so shouldn't need to wrap up too much.

What can I wear with it? Some kind of fake furry thing in a different colour? With matching heels? I'm clueless, help! No fascinators or other headwear - that's my only stipulation..!

Also...alternative dress suggestions very welcome.

I'd look for silver boots and would put a pair of silver sandals in my bag to cover all temps.

It’s look fab as an outfit with the coat and boots, and the red boots will lift it when you’re not wearing the coat, slap on some bright red puppy and you’re sorted

I too would have gone for red accessories, (or something bright) but I don't know your hair/eye/skin colouring. I'd try to avoid black or white, because it can look too monochrome and the dress is already mainly black.

Small wrist corsage

A cape would look fantastic, especially as you'll only wear it on arriving and leaving. A broch would be an option as well.

I would accompany with a statement bag, make red or dusty blue, possible with beads.

I love a wedge but I think they would be better for summer so maybe a stiletto with square toes that has a gloss finish. On the evening you could change these for a little white pump for dancing.

Statement earrings, either big hoops or long dangling, a large vintage ring and I short necklace with something that draws your eye to you collar bone

Sorry but I think the red fake fur thing from Etsy is hideous. Really cheap looking.
