Snood to cover face

On the back of another thread about preventing asthma in cold weather, I'm thinking of buying a snood as the cold air outside sets off my Long Covid. Can anyone recommend a soft, permeable and not too thick snood that I can wear outside instead of trying to wrap a scarf over my nose.

Is it a good idea to cover your airways especially if you have asthma?

my gp recomended I wear a snood or scarf to cover my face on cold weather because of my asthma. I use my scarf.

The sports ones are really good. I often wear one over the lower half of my face in the winter as running in the cold affects my breathing.

I bought mine from this shop.

This is such a good idea! I have asthma which is fairly mild except in winter when outside. It’s the change in temp which really affects me, going from warm indoors to cold outside. Can’t believe I haven’t thought of this before. I have heard good things about hygge bands but not tried them myself

H and M have balaclava/snoods. Soft, cosy, not too thick

I was given one of these for Christmas. You can take out the filter if it's too thick.

Buff make merino snoods, not expensive and keep their shape too. I've had the same one for a decade.

Thanks might try the hygge. Hoping my glasses won't steam up too much.

Would a neck gaiter work? Keep neck warm and pull over your face. You can get lots of different ones

I think something like this would look good.

Seasalt handybands are good (and lovely and soft).

On a more serious note I like the sea salt handybands too. And a buff if it's proper cold
