Fine lines around eyes..what’s best

Suspect this is a multiple asked question!
So my skins pretty good, it’s my eyes that are letting me down! I’ve read about tretanoin but will it help with that or make it worse?
Thanks

It’ll help, you’ll need to start low and go easy on it. It’s a long term thing though, I put my sunblock on my eye area too.

Watching with interest! I tried retinol but it just makes me look crepey and worse Sad

Somebodylikeyew · 05/01/2022 14:54

Botox would be my probably unpopular answer!

Wagsandclaws · 05/01/2022 18:51

I use Botox and tret/retinol.

I get a monthly prescription made formula from dermatica ( skin and me do the same job for around the same price )

I'm 50 this month, I have fine liens around my eyes which I don't mind as would lion very odd without any lines at all but they are much reduced due to the retinol.

Wagsandclaws · 05/01/2022 18:52

Btw with retinol you have to go through a phase called the 'uglies' it does make you look dry and rough but it's literally just your skin getting used to it.

Took me about 4 months to notice and 6 to get to where I want to be skin-wise.

madmomma · 05/01/2022 20:31

I thought it was really dangerous to use retinol around the eyes?

Botox

Changemaname1 · 05/01/2022 20:57

Botox short term, tretinoin longer term , spf every day . Read up thoroughly on the tret before you start Smile

High factor sun cream for the rest of your life. Bit of Botox and a good moisturiser. I stopped using anything but water on my face years ago to encourage natural oils. But touch of Botox has worked best I’m afraid. I am 57 though so it does make a difference.
Never look at yourself with reading glasses or in a magnify glass and you remain blissfully ignorant of your crows feet.

Thanks all. @Angrymum22 haha I looked on a friends magnifying mirror a few months back..never again!!

So botox is out. What’s the best Tret or retinol? I get so confused?!
