Hi everyone! I am trying to get my skincare sorted this year (finally enjoying having semi-normal skin after 15 years of acne and shit skin in general) so I’m looking for a good face oil that isn’t too expensive! Ideally I want something to use alongside a Gua Sha and facial roller (I haven’t used these before so need something lovely to massage in with them)

My skincare currently is:
Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser
Tea Tree Foam Wash
Superdrug Glycolic Toner
The Ordinary Niacinamide serum
The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid serum
The Ordinary Retinol 0.5 squalane (night time only)
Revitalift day cream spf30
Revitalift hyaluronic night cream

I’m 32, skin is fairly “average” my main concerns are my skin making my make up look dry, fighting aging and reducing acne scars & redness - I’m open to any suggestions! Many thanks if you can help Grin

I really like the Natural Elements face oils. the packaging is a bit old fashioned but the oils themselves are lovely - bought a few samples and worked out which I liked best

Votary Face Oil - I know you said not too expensive, it’s £65 for the full size bottle - but it is the best face oil I’ve used and has lasted me for a year.

I use Poppy Austin Rosehip oil during the day (just 2 drops warmed in hands) and overnight I use Clarins Lotus oil a few nights a week.
Also had acne and dry skin, what a cracking combination!
These oils seem to keep me in balance now and have helped heal any scarring and dryness. I really, really notice when I don't use them.

If you want cheap and cheerful The Ordinary b oil is great.

Mid range I like beauty pie plantastic one

If you want fancier - Sunday Riley ones are lovely

I use jojoba oil & bloody love it. It’s not heavy but is a fabulous moisturiser and barrier against the elements. Once a week I do a light lactic acid chemical peel (the ordinary - also good) and to cleanse I use a solid facial
Soap bar. I ditched a load of expensive products as a New Years resolution for 2021 and my skin is 50 times better since!

The only other thing that I wear under the jojoba oil is a facial sunscreen. Xo

Aesop Fabulous Face Oil. It’s £40 but it lasts a long time. I bought the Sunday Riley one recently and I like it but I prefer the Aesop one.
