The holy grail of handbags

For years I’ve been on the hunt for one handbag that I can use everyday but I’ve not found ‘the one’. After buying and selling quite a few I think I know what I want but am after some ideas of brands I might not have considered. So here’s the spec….crossbody & top handle, soft rather than structured, medium sized so a bit bigger than a mulberry antony but not as large as the large amberley as it will get too heavy to carry, thickish strap for the crossbody to spread the weight evenly. Ideally would like leather or anything other than suede.

Currently I’m considering the osprey Hendrix or Stella hobo or a second hand bayswater satchel
Any gems I’m missing? I’m fed up of being a bag fidget! Budget up to about £500.

I am in New Zealand. This brand is wonderful! Made ethically in NZ.
Perfect size , cross body plus shoulder strap.
Beautiful soft buttery leather and lots colours!

I've only had the nylon le Pliage but they are like workhorses

@Askinvillarblues I do like fairfax & favor actually. I’ve got some of their boots. Yes this could be a good option as the leather on this looks lovely and soft & I bet it gets better with age. I had the mini Windsor for a while but it was a little bit too small. Hmmm something to consider
