Has anyone bought clothing from Popsy?

I love the style of their dresses but it’s putting me off a bit that they’re all polyester- it often makes me feel a bit sweaty. I was wondering if anyone had tried them and could comment on what the fabric is like?

Very sweaty so I didn't buy again. Shame.

I have just discovered the brand and find their styles very attractive, great funky fabrics. I'm lurking ebay to buy something in my size and see how I like it. Might break me out of my Seasalt dress rut!

I love them. I'm not a fan of what they call the scuba fabric but u like the others. There is a pre-loved selling page on Facebook

I've tried about 4 dresses from popsy and the sizing was all different. I kept one that I adored and was perfect! The rest felt cheap and sweaty.

Normski67 · 04/01/2022 22:00

Some if the prints are nice and I like the midi length but yes you’re right the material gets deary quickly. Also seems to bobble but any conversations about that in the FB page get shut down quickly.

Normski67 · 04/01/2022 22:01

Deary = sweaty!
My phone obviously doesn’t believe I’d write something as crude as ‘sweary’ 🤣

Normski67 · 04/01/2022 22:02

Sweaty - not sweary!!!! Sweaty sweaty sweaty !

Somebodylikeyew · 04/01/2022 22:04

Really liked the dress but it bobbled quickly and yes, it was a bit sweaty.

confusednortherner · 04/01/2022 22:07

I've got two and don't find them sweaty at all. Bought second hand for work so did have some bobbling and don't wear now as new job is jeans but loved the prints.

Anyone wear the pyjama tops in the day. I love the fabric but don't want to waste them in bed! Are they obviously pj's

Thunder Egg sells loads of brands of quirky style dresses, some are probs not what you're after but it's worth looking as they might be different material.

Thanks, they've got some nice stuff

Purpleavocado · 29/04/2022 21:09

I have some and they don't get any more sweaty than anything else, except linen. I like the different patterns and mine haven't gone bobbly so far.
Use PayPal, returns aren't free but you can claim that back on PayPal if you don't like the dress. You can't return something you've had altered.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/04/2022 22:25

I've ordered some stuff and looks like it's easy to resell if not right.

CremeEggsForBreakfast · 29/04/2022 22:36

I have quite a few and don't find them sweaty. Maybe bobbly but I will admit to 1) not caring and
2)not following washing instructions properly.

The sizing can vary in my opinion (mostly depending on the shape of the dress and the fabric) although no Popsy Official will admit to this. I always buy a 12 but very nearly sent one back because the arms were so tight.

Also, even if you buy them and love them be warned that the FB page is like a dress cult and if you're anything but fawning and full of admiration for every other woman on the planet you will be shunned!
