Youth sizing for Dr martens

Hi anyone who wear youth Dr marthen specifically Pascal do I need to size down or up.

I have a dupe version from new look and in hindsight could have size down as need to wear thick socks.
Wondering if Dr martens youth boots is similar or the opposite.

I wear a size 3, and just get that size in the juniors too

I would size up. I don’t in mine but my daughter (age 4 size 9) wears a size bigger or her heels don’t go in the boot.

And that’s been over several pairs too. I wonder if the zip on the side makes the difference or if she had wide feet.

I have the Chelsea boots with a zip. Very wide and feel roomy. If I sized up they would be very big. I tried a size down (3) and couldn't get them on.
