Led Mask : colours or infrared ?

I’ve been doing lots of reading about LED masks but it seems to be mainly a choice of either various colours OR red/infrared not both and I’m getting a bit cross eyed with it all.

Do I need all those colours or does the near infrared do the same? Any advice would be welcome 😊

57th birthday looms and I need a bit of maintenance. Dull skin, some redness, dark circles. Not too wrinkly but last 2 years have made me look more tired. Bit saggy, but I’m realistic about what can be achieved on that front. (How depressing reading that back - I do have a staple gun and duck tape if all else fails 😄)

Two I’ve picked out so far are :
Current body face and neck (has colours) and Project E (red/near infrared) 🤷🏼‍♀️

The research around LED isn't that expansive but it seem the best supported are red led combined with near infrared for signs of ageing and blue for acne. The other colours are less supported afaik and most dermatologists/clinics tend to offer treatment with blue or red depending on issue, sometimes they have other colours to combine it with but blue and red seem to be the main focus. I assume you're asking for ageing so red/infrared makes the most sense but I would warn not to expect too much from it, especially considering the investment. It's something to use alongside other things with better proven efficacy, not the basket to put all your eggs into.

Thanks so much Botemp x You’re absolutely correct and I’m being very honest with myself about what to expect. All valid points though which I very much appreciate
