Hairbrush recommendations

I've been considering a new hairbrush - but really investing in something nice and good for my hair, it's incredibly thick, a bit coarse and just reaching my shoulders.
It is bleached and despite regular olaplex treatments each time it's coloured and toned I'm always aware of little breakages when drying (using the Dyson so it's a bit kinder on the heat, also use a heat protection spray)
So, I figure getting a good hairbrush could also be a key in helping my hair be in top condition.
I've looked at the mason Pearson brushes, the mix of boar and nylon sounds good as it'll hopefully get through my thick hair, but before I spend almost £100 on a brush, is there any others that are equally good or even better to consider?
Thanks

Sorry I don't know how to link but I got one of these from Facebook, I've tried allsorts and it's brilliant on the knots. This link is from amazon.

I have thick hair and have tried a few boar and nylon brushes but they don't go through my hair. They are only really of use to smooth it into a ponytail for example, but I need another brush to go through it first. Jy husband is delighted as he now uses them on his beard!

The best hair brush for my hair is a bog standard denman denmanbrush.com/products/d3-original-styler-7-row

My Mason & Pearson is still going strong after 25 years (gifted by my mum as an 18th birthday present). It is good and though expensive lasts for years and years

Balmain Paris do a lovely one for about half that but I really really think you should get the Mason Pearson Smile

I need the Denman linked above to get the knots out, then can move onto something to gather my hair into a ponytail or whatever.
If I try to get through it with something with softer bristles, it stays knotted in the middle, even brushing from above and below.

I have really thick coarse mid back hair and a bristle brush doesn't go through it properly not to the scalp. I use a paddle brush for long hair. I sometimes use a bristle brush after for shine

I have this one, it’s brilliant. Better than my Aveda one! It’s gentle but gets through thick hair. Great for blow drying too.

Mason Pearson without a doubt.
I have 2 that are used daily, both 20+ years old. Anything else is a false economy!

LadyNell · 02/01/2022 16:15

Even a Mason Pearson doesn't go through my hair, I had one bought for me as a gift but couldn't use it but my hair is ultra thick and coarse

FlipflopHatstand · 02/01/2022 20:37

Ok, so it seems like I need one for the knots and tangles and potentially still a Mason Pearson for the shine.
Thanks for the links and recommendations everyone, I like the looks of the denmans suggested by @CeeceeBloomingdale @LadyNell

Tangle teezer, even my curls can take being brushed with it.

@GettingStuffed

Tangle teezer, even my curls can take being brushed with it.
Tangle teezers don't go through my thick, course and wavy hair at all, even when wet. I used them on my daughters until they were about 5 then had to use a heavier duty brush. They have medium thickness straight hair so not as tricky as mine.
