The type you buy for dry hands - looking for advice on how / how often you wash them? Will they withstand multiple uses before washing or is it best to wash them straight away?

I was about to chuck a pair that unfortunately, regrettably, have been at the bottom of the washing basket for a couple of months now, but now wondering if washing them at 40 will bring them up safely / okay?
