Double chin fix, fat dissolving injections, chin lips or cool sculpting

Anyone had results with any of these methods ? I have a little Botox regularly and have tried plasma pen on my upper eyes which was painful and didn’t help. I would like to reduce my double chin which I’ve always had - leaning towards cool sculpt but have read about the pain until I was told good things about injections from a friend of a friend. Any recommendations please ?

Watching with interest!

Fat dissolving injections (Aqualyx) are subtle. Some of my patients have brilliant results and some have very 'meh' results.

I find at least 3 are needed for the sub mental (chin) fat.

There is a fair amount of downtime. Swelling can be quite bad and can last a few weeks!

I don't know much about cool sculpting 😊

3 sessions that is*

Yes, I read that the swelling can make your neck swell like a frog 😲

It can do. But I have only had one patient with bull frog swelling. Most get a little bit of swelling for a week (just looks like they have gained a few pounds for a week or so!)
Some get no swelling at all.

Oh that doesn’t sound too bad then I could get it before it warms up and I can wear roll necks

Have you looked into vaser lipo?

I had a lower face and neck lift due to huge weight loss and a very saggy neck. I still have a bit of a double chin so my surgeon recommend vaser lipo.

I have seen very good results from it so am saving up to get it done in the spring.

A friend had kybella ( sorry if that's spelt wrong ) which is the fat dissolving injections. She got the bullfrog effect and had it done 3 times and it was very subtle, personally it was quite hard to notice anything had been done tbh.

Good luck with whatever you decide Smile. Fwiw my surgery was one of the best things I've done as I have my confidence back again and am not afraid to be in photos anymore!

Is liposuction for neck / chin fat a big procedure or can it be done as minimally invasive??

invested Grin

(Cross post - apologies)

I've had fat dissolving 3 times in my chin. Very very slight difference.

I wouldn't recommend it.

I had cool sculpting on my stomach. I spent £1600, was in pain for 10 days and it did nothing. This was one of the top clinics in the UK. It doesn't work on everyone :(

I’ve read up on the lipo but it says you have to be near your bmi and I have put weight on

Anybody got any results to rave about?

Seaoftroubles · 09/09/2022 19:05

Agree with pansiesareyellow re Cool Sculpting, my daughter had this done on her upper arms. She also went to a top London clinic and was told she was a good candidate for a noticeable result. It cost £1600 and did absolutely nothing.
