Body Shop White Musk perfume

Happydaze2 · 31/12/2021 12:45

This was the first perfume (eau de toilette) I ever bought as a teenager, back in the late 80s Grin. I loved it and just seen on the website that it’s still being sold… I’m tempted to buy it, for old times sake, but it’ll have to be online as I don’t have any stores nearby. Does anyone know if the scent is exactly the same as I remember it?

OP posts:
KittenKong · 31/12/2021 12:47

Me too. I wouldn’t touch the body shop with a shitty stick these days.

mylovelydd · 31/12/2021 12:47

It is the same. I love it too but prefer the oil and I'm not sure if they still do the oil

LiveFromNewYork · 31/12/2021 14:55

I have it, it's the same. Only perfume I can toleratez as all others give me a headache or make me feel ill

cloudtree · 31/12/2021 14:57

I have an original oil from the early 90s. Won’t buy body shop stuff now on principle.

RicherThanYew · 31/12/2021 14:59

The white musk is lovely, as is the dark variation but as other posters have said, I wouldn't touch the Body Shop with someone else's these days.

thenewduchessoflapland · 31/12/2021 15:09

I have the WM in a roller ball;it's still lovely;it reminds me of Washing power, talc and the smell of newborn babies;I find it oddly comforting and my teen daughters love it too.

If there's no Bodyshop near you it's worth contacting your local Bodyshop at Home consultant. They might be able to provide a sample so you can see if you still like the scent.

Also to anyone else reading my reply to the OP it's not an opportunity to go off on a tangent about you hate the Bodyshop/it's home decision.

cloudtree · 31/12/2021 15:15

Posters are allowed to alert others to businesses which are misogynistic

HMBB · 01/01/2022 22:09

Serious question - what is wrong with the Body Shop?

Not goady - I have obviously missed something and want to understand.

Thanks

Saladd0dger · 01/01/2022 22:15

I popped in last week and sniffed a tester. It hasn’t changed.

Lookingoutside · 01/01/2022 22:21

I get the body wash every winter. Makes me feel 15 Smile

Bobbybobbins · 01/01/2022 22:22

Also used to love the dewberry.

Lookingoutside · 01/01/2022 22:25

Ok. Just googled body shop misogyny. My last winter with white musk shower gel I think.

Fuck that.

blinder · 01/01/2022 22:26

My (wonderful) English teacher wore it in the late 80s and consequently I wear it when I teach. I’ve got a bottle at home and a backup bottle in my pencil case. I never wear it any other times though, and it therefore gets me into teacher mode quick sharp.

What’s wrong with The Body Shop these days?

OverByYer · 01/01/2022 22:28

God I used to love it. I appear to have missed what the issue is with bodyshop is though?

Chakraleaf · 01/01/2022 22:30

I don't use them now either.

BarefootHippieChick · 01/01/2022 22:32

reads thread then goes off to Google Body Shop misogyny

janicewheeler · 01/01/2022 22:32

Same I haven't a clue, what's body shop done ??

Newyearnewme2022 · 01/01/2022 22:35

I got some for Christmas and it took me back to my school days where we must have stunk the classrooms out with it.

BarefootHippieChick · 01/01/2022 22:35

Ah, just googled...yeah, luckily I haven't been in a Body Shop for years. God, I did love White Musk though!

OverByYer · 02/01/2022 11:05

Ah yes I remember now, they jumped on the JKR bandwagon. Wonder how that has worked out for them?

Lookingoutside · 02/01/2022 11:29

It probably hasn’t worked out that badly considering most of the cast of the Harry Potter films have turned on her.

Little shits.

steelrose · 02/01/2022 11:29

For those looking to avoid Body Shop, try this thread

Don't do this they'll hound you to buy something.

mylovelydd · 02/01/2022 15:17

Having just googled Body Shop misogyny that's me never buying from them again. Added to Lush.
They can both get to fuck.
