I've been using Fenty Hydra Visor, which ticks all the boxes, I really like it but I seem to get through it really quickly. I also like that it is cruelty free and refillable.

Looking for alternative recommendations for a daily face spf that won't clog pores, works under makeup without balling up and doesn't sting eyes.

Hello Farmer

Ultrasun is the best I've used

itsutterlyshit · 31/12/2021 12:05

Heliocare is the best one I've found. Sinks in well and doesn't react to other products put on top

Altruist face fluid. £9 for 50ml, hydrating but not greasy and not pore clogging (I’m oily and blemish prone). SPF 50 and a very high UVA rating (5 star Boots / PPD 56). No fragrance or drying alcohol. Really great stuff.

Amazon link, you can get it mostly here and I think a clinic online shop (can’t remember the name but it’s on their website).

Isntree hyularonic water one is fantastic. Misha is good and more Matt finish.

Second this. Love my Altruist sunscreen and I hate having sunscreen on my face usually.

Recently gone back to olay (in the squeezy bottle), After a few years and it's so light and workable with makeup, no greasy and very affordable.

Totallydefeated · 31/12/2021 18:31

Oh, I tried Altruist on the back of recommendations on here and hate it! I do find it greasy on my oily skin and I’d I take it under my eyes (as one would, it being the most prone to wrinkles and thinnest skin in the face....), it leads to smudged mascara.

Also hate La Roche Posay and Avene, also both really greasy. Frezyderm is better, but again leads to smudged mascara.

Best of the bunch is Biore watery essence from Japan for oily skin IMO, subjective though it is.

I like Superdrug's vitamin E range. The SPF moisturiser is £3.99! It might not be enough for the summer but is great this time of year.

Kjr33 · 31/12/2021 23:22

@Totallydefeated couldn’t agree more, no idea who likes the altruist one? It ticks all the “bad suncream” boxes for me. Watery essence is really nice I do think the missha one just edges it though but only because there seems to be so many fakes of the watery essence unless you are careful about where you buy it.

Pickledlipstick · 31/12/2021 23:25

Heliocare is good. Biore watery essence has been my go to for years however for some reason it stopped working on me and I developed sun spots and melasma patches using it which is a shame as it feel the nicest out of all of them .

pinkcattydude · 31/12/2021 23:32

Was going to recommend Fenty, I heard good things about the Bodyshop one but haven’t tried it.

AskAda · 31/12/2021 23:34

La Roche posay anthelios. Great under make up.

Just goes to show how individual this is. I find it incredibly greasy and make up just slides off it for me!

I can recommend Supergoop, it works well with my slightly dry skin. Also use the Supergoop Glow

Ultra sun as mentioned upthread is another I find works for me.
