Do I phone instead of booking online

I need to trim and cut my hair. The ends so long and straggly. It was something I needed to do since the start of December but I found it hard to organise my time. I was checking for weeks online for an appointment at the salon of choice for weeks but it's impossible to organise a suitable time. Saturday suits me best but it looks like the stylist doesn't work on Saturdays. So I need to organise my time around the slots that are available online.

Basically it's the 15th of January by the time I'm able to get an appointment.

I found another salon that I'm interested in and it's the 7th of January by the time they have a free slot.

Would it be worth my while to phone salons to see of they could take me? Would I have better luck phoning them instead of booking online.

Probably worth a call, but honestly, my hairdressers is booked up about 6 weeks ahead because they all have regulars who book their next appointment as they leave the salon. To get in as a new client, especially on a Saturday within a fortnight would be unheard of i reckon...

7th of January is like 6 working days away, I doubt you'd get in anywhere any sooner than that. Even 15th Jan isn't far away. I mean you could phone and ask, there's no harm in trying. Although if this is a new salon why would you pick one that doesn't have appointments on Saturday if that's the day you need?
