I have ordered one in the JL sale, does it feel cool to sleep on like my cotton ones and does it benefit your hair and skin or is it hype

Quite expensive so opinions greatly appreciated

I love mine - made a difference to my hair, but also lovely to sleep on!

I love mine too, my hair seems smoother and not so messed up when I wake up and my face seems less creased too ! I had to buy a 2nd one for when the 1st is in the wash as couldn’t go back to cotton.

sansucre · 28/12/2021 18:40

Yes, on all counts. Had one for almost a decade now and can't imagine going back to a cotton pillowcase.

Alfixn · 28/12/2021 18:42

I love mine. Noticed an immediate difference in my hair

FindingMeno · 28/12/2021 18:43

I wasn't that impressed I'm afraid.

Motnight · 28/12/2021 18:45

Love mine. It really helps my fine fly away hair to look good the next day.

Hotyogahotchoc · 28/12/2021 18:46

Does anyone have any recommendations? There are so many and some are quite cheap on Amazon

I have satin ones OP and they have made a difference in my hair but I feel I'm ready to graduate to silk Grin

Got one a couple of years ago as a Christmas present. Didn’t make any difference. It was a nice pillow though.

MilitantFaucet · 28/12/2021 18:50

I have a slip one it’s lovely, definitely makes a difference to my creased face in the morning!

HermioneWeasley · 28/12/2021 19:03

Can’t say I’ve noticed any real difference, but they are nice and cool to sleep on.

Hotyogahotchoc · 28/12/2021 20:19

I have curly hair and it helps to reduce frizz

TinyLittlePandaSneeze · 28/12/2021 20:21

Love mine. Great in the summer

Nitgel · 28/12/2021 20:23

I've had mine for years now. Mulberry silk from John lewis. Really like it. Notice when I dont use it.

JustLikeaJingleBell · 28/12/2021 22:36

I'm going to get DD to whip a few up on her sewing machine

woodhill · 29/12/2021 11:06

Good idea. Is it easy to buy silk material nowadays?

Dd has one from jasmine silk with cotton on the underside to stop it slipping on the bed.

AliceWo · 29/12/2021 18:00

I've used them for a few years now - it's completely done away with having creases in my face for hours on end when I wake up (I'm early 50s). I just get cheap Amazon ones.
