And do we like it? My mother found it in a charity shop in Midhurst and thought I'd like it. I'm not sure.

It's purporting to be mulberry but looks like a replica to me.

It’s a very old Mulberry- I’d say from 2006-2012 but agree with PP and would want to see inside. Does it smell and feel like real leather?

It’s not a Mulberry. The handles are not right and it appears to be lined. It’s made to look like a Mulberry and my local handbag shop used to import these from Italy. They are what they are.

They look too long. They bag looks a wired shape to me. I would look at hardware and weight of bag. It looks just like the ones that were sold by the local bag shop. I don’t think that’s a Mulberry stamp either.

It looks like a vintage Mulberry, it’s leather definitely and looks nice quality.

The only idiots with bags are the ones who think carrying a designer bag makes them something they are not, so ignore the vile poster above.

Nice of your mum to get it, if you like it, use it. It’s not my style but I like thinner straps.

This is my (genuine) mulberry. As you can see its not stamped, the mulberry logo is stitched on, it has a tag and the zip has the logo on.
I'd say it's a nice fake.

Depending what your mum paid for it, you could get it checked out via a service like Authenticate for You. They charge about five pounds, you send them various photos of the angles they request, and will certify if if they think it's genuine. I have bought second hand Mulberry bags in the past where the authentication service has helped people reassure buyers that it's not a fake. Bottom line though, if you like it, just use it.

The handles on the genuine Mulberry are different in how they are attached to the bag with the hardware.

Gah. It's definitely fake. I've been googling and the zips are not right and also the logo isn't right. Taking it to a charity shop. Thanks for the input.

Well no one is looking closely at it are they so no one will care what it is or is not. In fact plenty here thought it was a Mulberry so, like many fakes, it fools most people! Even with a close up photo! If you don’t like the bag, take it back to the charity shop. I would if I’d been given it. If you like if, keep it!
