Eyebrow pens

Morello339 · 27/12/2021 15:10

So, I am desperate for a good eyebrow pen/tattoo gel. I have patchy, oddly shapes brows thanks to the 90s.

The colour needs to be a medium brown, but needs to be cool. No orange tones.

Everything I have tried either smudges, doesn't colour match, goes on too thick. I was a natural brush stroke effect, if that's possible.

I'll try to attach a photo.

Please help !!!

I really like the MAC ones. I think they're called Shape & Shade? Good range of coolish colours. Never really bother with the powder end but the pen is fab.

I really like glossier brow flick pen then I finish by brushing through not brow.

I have thin eyebrows and tried a powder and brush version, which didn't work very well, I have tried mascara to thicken my eyebrows with better results and interested to see the recommended pens on here.

Glossier brow boy, the MAC version, urban decay do one too… honestly the best one I’ve used so far is the NYX lift & snatch. Ash brown would work for you if you want a cool time brown.
Best advice is to store it with nib pointing down, stops it drying out and start from middle of brow not the front - stops the front being too heavy from the build up of product.

I really like Charlotte Tilbury legendary brows

Thank you everyone. I think I'll order a couple and see which suits best. The problem with powder, is that I don't have much hair for it to cling too.

I'm off to order now! I'll keep you updated.

The Times online are reporting that thin eyebrows are back in fashion, so don't order too many pens as the tide is turning Wink

I like the Rimmel Brow this way pencil.

The trick with brows is to use a brow pencil and then gel after - the gel gives the “hair by hair” definition but you do need the pencil to create the right shape.

I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills pencil which is great (obviously choose the colour that works for you - I am blonde so use taupe) and then I use either the glossier brow gel or recently I purchased the MAC stylised gel which I’m loving so far.

Step 1: create shape with pencil - do two straight but angled lines on the TOP side of brows - one from centre to peak of brow and one coming down off peak to edge. Then lightly fill in and soften edges with dry brow brush.

Step 2: use brow gel brushing upwards along brow to get nice feathery look.

I like the Revolution precise brown pencil in medium followed by their clear gel

I do the two lines as above: from
Centre to arch then arch to tail.

Following with interest though as could do with some more tips!

I use Pixi (soft pencil one end, gel brush the other). It’s the best I’ve found, but I’m not 100% satisfied.
