Help me find a coat

I'm in desperate need of a new coat. I've piled loads of weight on and let myself go recently but now seems a good time to try and smarten up and sort myself out, plus with the sales on hopefully I can find a bargain.

So I just don't know where to start, I'm not entirely sure of my size but I think approximately an 18, 5ft 6, which styles would look flattering? I'm worried about adding extra bulk but I also need something practical for cold school runs and days out with the DC.

Please help me out with some suggestions

Do you have a waist? If so, belted quilted coat. Puffer might be too large looking. Or try a parka style.

Belted wrap coat always works. Or try a plain button up coat. I like Cos but their best coats are not in the sake! Try Arket and &OtherStories. People like Uniqulo. I also think M&S do great coats and look at John Lewis.

Thank you, I should have said my main problem area is my tummy, I look about 6 months pregnant nearly a year after having my youngest, I feel like a belted waist would make my tummy look even bigger.

In that case. I would look at Zara. There are plenty of non belted coats there. I would also recommend the tweed coat in the Toast sale. It’s not cheap but it’s exceptional quality.
