Trinny’s make up range?

NorthSouthcatlady · 26/12/2021 14:35

Any thoughts or recommendations for Trinny’s make up range? I’m 40 with combination olive skin, green eyes and brown hair

OP posts:
Spudina · 26/12/2021 14:36

I love her eye shadow. There is one called wisdom that I use day or night. It’s a cream but it doesn’t crease, stays on all day. Love it.

StiltonIsLife · 26/12/2021 15:37

If you go on their website, you do a test that gives you recommended colours.

UserBot99 · 26/12/2021 15:40

I bought the eye "concealer" but it doesnt conceal at all. It goes on really thin. Useless product. I tried to review it but my review not published. So reviews on that site not to be trusted.

That is the only product ive tried though.

turnaroundtime · 26/12/2021 15:47

Not very good quality formulations. Very basic level cosmetics hyped up by Trinny to sounds better than they are. Many MANY better brands out there. Go into your local Space NK or even Boots

I would sooner run sand in my eyes than give a penny to that domestic violence apologist and victim blamer…

Acrackineverything · 26/12/2021 16:22

Cheap quality products in cheap packaging. I threw the whole lot away, foundation, eyeshadows, concealears, lip/blush. Bought them after rave recommendations on here. Please don't waste your money.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 26/12/2021 16:38

Do some googling OP, the reviews are really bad.

lindyloo57 · 26/12/2021 16:42

I haven't tried it , too many bad reviews, its the same with Charlotte Tilbury very over rated .

UserError012345 · 26/12/2021 16:44

I can only speak about the lip 2 cheek shimmers (from eBay). I've got to say that I do like them. I like the stacking novelty.

I haven't got any of the other products and unlikely to purchase as they are out of my budget.

lonsdaleshorts · 26/12/2021 18:30

I like the eye shadows. That’s all I’ve tried.

And Saatchi is a shareholder in the business.
Journeynotdestination · 26/12/2021 18:34

I bought 4 eyeshadows but only one is any good, the rest are too sheer to be any use, even the dark brown which just isn’t pigmented enough to use even as a liner. I wouldn’t buy from the range again, it’s high st quality at premium prices.

UserBot99 · 26/12/2021 18:35

I find CT products much better. Hyped, tes. Very expensive, yes! But I wouldnt insult CT by comparing them to trinny's gimmicky pots. CT coverage good l, colours lovely.

whitedahlias · 26/12/2021 19:13

Also tried the concealer - it's so watery it did nothing.

I complained and they offered me a refund if I posted it back which I did - it was expensive and rubbish so I wanted to make a point.

The marketing is amazing though.

nzeire · 26/12/2021 20:04

I wore the under eye concealer and my sister was gobacked.
She said, “I have never noticed you had undereye shadows before”!!!
The shimmer stuff is sticky, my hair gets stuck to it
BFF destress is lovely
Eyeshadows are fun

LiveFromNewYork · 26/12/2021 20:09

I'd say pretty overpriced for the quality. Better products around. I think she's a marketing genius though.

slipperyeel · 26/12/2021 20:47

I’m going to differ and say I really like the range.
The BFF cream and miracle blur are particularly brilliant IMO.

IGotHam · 26/12/2021 21:32

I got given a lip and cheek tint duo this Christmas and it's awful, cheap and ineffective. I certainly wouldn't buy anything else.

LesLavandes · 26/12/2021 22:02

I am surprised by the comments. I like her BFF and BFF destress.
I prefer an actual lipstick to the pots, I have a few eye shadows I like too.

Rina66 · 27/12/2021 06:43

I really like the products, great for a quick everyday no make up make up. I have the BFF De Stress, the eye shadow pots in Wisdom (matte taupe) and Chariot (shimmer khaki), the lip to cheek pots which I love in Pia (bright pink) and Phoebe (rose pink). They are great for dabbing on and brightening your face. I also really like the magnetic stacking brush.

Inthesameboatatmo · 27/12/2021 08:56

Ridiculously priced cheap and utterly shit. Save your money op and by higher end elsewhere honestly.

MargotEmin · 27/12/2021 09:05

The thing that puts me off this range, aside from the bad reviews, is how bad the products look on Trinny who I think is extremely beautiful. They look so splodgy and badly applied and her base products do nothing to knock down the redness in her skin (which is what I would also need help with).

If they look bad on her they're going to look dreadful on me!

Whaaat!!!??
BatshitCrazyWoman · 27/12/2021 11:03

Coloured grease. My skin hated the products (no testers or trial sizes available). Despite me barely using them, the packaging broke. I'd not bother OP.

DelphiniumBlue · 27/12/2021 17:11

I really like the products I have tried, I'm about to chuck out the rest of my (years old) make-up. I have had lots of comments about looking fresh and bright, it goes on easily and stays on all day.
I've got the Wisdom shadow, and a darker one, a couple of lip to cheek pots in a coral and a pink, and the BFF destress cream. I'd recommend them .
