when you're waiting ages for a coat to go on sale, then they put ''new in'' beside it!

It's never going on sale is it........

I've had my eye on this coat for ages

love it I would feel gorgeous in it, like Brian from East 17, or like an extra wandering on to the set in the video of Last Christmas.

Just can't find anything that I like as much cheaper but it is a lot for ''another warm coat'' (i already have one of those waterproof insulated coats, but it is nowhere near as nice as this)

Some white coats are too white, like tipp-ex and some are too off-white, bit beige. But this is the perfect shade of off-white. (In the photo anyway!)

I'm not going skiing but I am going to be hanging around at bus stops.

It is lovely - but I am very clumsy so would spill something on it within the day. If you can afford it then don't wait for the sale just get it

UserBot · 26/12/2021 09:51

I know, a white coat is not something I've ever braved before but if I don't eat with my coat on I might be ok!

It's been in my basket and saved as a favourite for months. But they aren't putting it on sale Sad I might have to just go for it and then buy nothing else in any sale.

I came here to talk you out of it and to say if you can't afford it you really don't need it......but it is bloomin lovely and I definitely think you deserve it!

How much would you be prepared to pay? Maybe work out the difference between how much it is now and how much would make you press buy now and then see what else you could do without for that value (no takeaways for a month, dry January etc)?

I can't get the link to work but have you checked out the off-white puffa jacket in the Jil Sander / Uniqlo collab - +J? £149.

UserBot · 26/12/2021 10:12

I'll google that now @floisme
I did look at uniqlo a while ago and they all looked too puffy but if they're collaborating with Jill Sander I want another look

I’m a big fan of white coats and the one you linked to is lovely. You can keep them clean by being careful and I tend to find the wrist and the pocket areas are where they get grubby first, but come up again with a wash ( take the fur part off first )

However I’d be a bit worried about washing the heated bit - will you really need that in the uk…I’m not so sure.

I bought a very similar looking coat from Columbia in October from a clearance type place in the lakes, but they don’t have them on the shop website and their current range isn’t entirely white and has a grey bit which spoils it a bit IMO.

I think therefore you should buy the roxy one and look pretty cool at the bus stop - but don’t lean against it !

If you're an XL, it's 30% off at Zalando with an extra 15% off with code TREAT15

I saw that! I had clicked the 'notify me' for size M weeks ago. Nada.

I am going to order it now.

Happy Christmas from me to me.

I think you’ll be lucky to get ski stuff on sale until after March unfortunately. You could try some of the smaller ski surf shops Anne’s cottage etc?

coogee · 26/12/2021 10:36

I’ve got a white coat. I wore it with wellies once and people thought I was a vet.

ha, yes, good point. NO leaning.

I know what you mean about the heated panels. That is a bit of a gimmick. I'm in Dublin and for sure, it does get cold January, February and March can be so freezing, but......... I'm not sure I need a heater inside my code. I hope that that part can be removed for washing.

Code!? I mean, inside my coat.

I was thinking ''wish I had a code'' Grin

That's stupidly expensive

UserBot · 26/12/2021 13:12

Well I've bought it now!

Stupidly expensive or not, it's on its way to me.

As long as it makes you happy!
It’s a lovely coat

gunnersgold · 26/12/2021 13:52

It's 100 % polyester so will wash brilliantly . Just top up on vanish and wash it regardless ! Easy!

LadyEloise1 · 26/12/2021 15:18

I'd have make up on the collar within 5 minutes Smile
