Where can I get a really lovely, snuggly, soft, feels luxurious but without the price tag, machine washable (that’s very important) oversized cardigan?

Currently breastfeeding DS2 and as much as I love my giant fleece lined Uniqlo hoodies, I’m sick to death of them and I look like a slob in them. I’d like a really nice big soft cardigan that I can wear out and about and wrap around both of us during feeds and snuggles at home, but that doesn’t cost the earth and can be thrown in the machine so that I don’t die inside when he inevitably throws up all over it!

Watching this, hoping for something similar. Ive been wearing more dresses since being pregnant but I don't have anything to wear with them.

How about Jojo Manan Bebe’s drape cardigan? It’s technically maternity wear but doesn’t really look it. It’s massive, could wrap around you and baby, and washes well. Comes in several colours: www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/teal-drape-maternity-nursing-cardigan-e9124.html

Try TK Maxx. I got something similar in the summer for £20.

@MoreThanRubies just had a look for DD as she's currently pregnant & loves a cardigan but I'm now in love with the stripe version for me not pregnant but could easily pass for being about 6 months gone

Have you been to Primark? I got a cardigan to fill exactly this brief. They had loads and loads to choose from but the one I got is kind of speckled oatmeal/grey coloured and goes with everything. Was £13 I think.

I've bought a couple from Mango, they are a polyester (recycled) mix but they are very soft and very large and very very cosy. I sized sown and its still massive, I'm wearing it today for the first time so I'm unsure how it'll wash. It says hand-wash but I'm going to chuck it in the machine on the hand-wash cycle. Just for clarity I chuck my other Mango hand-wash cardigans in the machine too. All fine.

I got a nice cashmere men's jumper from ebay - not fashionable but really big and comfy.

Esprit is good for knitwear and their sale just started

I really like the Arket alpaca knit cardigans - lovely and cosy and can go in the machine on a wool cycle. I think I have one in every colour now. I tend to wear them open with a crew neck t-shirt or Breton top underneath but on the website they are styled buttoned up like a v-neck jumper, so versatile too.

I have this in the oatmeal colour and it's lovely but a bit pricey for the quality-it bobbles. I'm looking for a cheaper version of the grey.
