Which coat for a funeral?

It's my uncles funeral today. I'm wearing all black but I don't have a smart black coat. I either have a black parka or a smart camel wool.

What do I wear?

Camel. People aren't so bothered by dark colours these days but they do like people to look nicely turned out.

FWIW. I don’t wear black so have never worn black to a funeral. The camel will be a lovely contrast to the black you’re wearing

Interesting that you felt overdressed. I felt the same at the last funeral I attended - people didn't wear jeans I suppose, but otherwise it was just average day wear.

There were people in jeans and puffer jackets. It's a bloody funeral! My family think I'm full of myself as it is so this wouldn't have helped but never mind!
