APC half moon bag

Has anyone had one, reviews?

I watched a plain smooth black one on vinted that was £130. It sold quickly and I was gutted so I think it's a sign I really want one.
They look so stylish to me.

The one you linked is quite expensive

I don't have the demi lune but their bags are good quality for the price. I have the Gabriella.

I have a Demi lune
They feel clunky and awkward to wear (cross body)
The opening is really narrow so it is difficult to pull out your wallet quickly
I think they look nice but I don’t really use mine much
Softer structure camera bags or Mansur Gavriel might be a better choice?

Thanks all some good stuff to think about

I wanted one but I think it’ll scratch really easily… I tend to go for grained leather for this reason.

I have one but got it in a sample sale so it only cost £100. It looks nice but as a pp mentioned, the zip opening is narrow/quite firm. Makes it hard to be pickpocketed though.[wink}

Silverflute · 28/12/2021 18:04

Sorry, it looks like a man’s travel kit bag to me. DH has one similar.

polexiaaphrodesia · 28/12/2021 18:31

I have a basket weave demi lune which DH bought me for Christmas. Agree that the opening is fairly small but I tend to only carry phone, card and keys so plan on wearing it when travelling light (ie. Without mountain of kid crap!) I went for the basket weave to avoid it being scratched. Its a beautiful bag Smile

sansucre · 28/12/2021 18:38

To echo others, the opening on the smaller size demi lune is small, the larger size is better and holds more. In terms of picking up scratches, Mansur Gavriel bags are far more susceptible to marks than the demi lune or APC bags as a whole - I think APC are more hard wearing (in my experience at least).

I have a couple of their moon bags, and while they look really great, they are a bit of a faff to use as others have said. I use them occasionally when going out somewhere nice, but not for every day. I think part of the problem is that they are quite rigid with no “give”, if that makes sense?

Tiddlywinkly · 04/08/2022 09:13

I have the small version in 'ginger' which is a tan grain. I would advise against smooth for the scuffing. I also second people's comments about the zipper opening 'eating' your hand and because of the small opening you can't actually get a lot in. Gorgeous though!
