Jewellers for modern, minimalist gemstone pendants please

Hello. With my 50th birthday looming I'm looking for an (ideally) emerald necklace. This one (in photo) is perfect, exactly what I imagined..... except that it is more than £2k....
Any ideas for other jewellers to look at for something similar with a less punchy price tag (hundreds rather than thousand ideally). Thank you!!

This Tiffany one is nice too (but teeny tiny for £1000) and I prefer the way the chain goes behind the stone on the other one better. I have spent way too long looking at these!!
Maybe the same style but a cheaper gemstone is the way to go?

[quote Crazzzycat]Not emerald, but this looks similar:

Thanks. That's lovely too, but I'm keen for a bit of sparkle ideallyStar
I'll take a look at the rest of the website too.

www.etsy.com/au/listing/702959259/2-carats-8mm-round-emerald-solitaire?click_key=8cab28ab64800a668fd37f45a770e00e4693e988%3A702959259&click_sum=1ab0faf0&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=minimalist+bezel+set+emerald+necklace&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1&cns=1&sts=1

I found this one on Etsy by using the filters for UK and handmade...and the term "Bezel set minimalist emerald necklace" You may find a good jeweler on there who will make you something to order and for under 2000 too!

Thanks @FortunesFave - I haven't looked much on Etsy, that's a really good shout. I hadn't thought about getting something made, but you're right Etsy would be a brilliant place to find someone. Ta x

My friend makes bespoke jewellery, might be worth a look at www.oaklandjewellery.com I'm sure she could replicate that necklace and I believe she's very fairly priced.

How about tsavorite rather than emerald?

Strudelorcheesecake · 21/12/2021 09:56

Thanks for your suggestions.

@Tryingtogetitright I have looked at Oakland, gorgeous jewellery, but hadn't considered bespoke. Good call thank you!

@SometimesRavenSometimesParrot I adore those necklaces with the tiny diamonds - now I'm wondering if I'd rather go for one of those instead of an emerald.... thanks for the tip.

@BarkminsterBlue I have never heard of that stone, I'll take a look, thank you.

Some lovely things on there @Tryingtogetitright your friend is very talented.

I'm a jeweller and most of the things on the website you posted OP could easily be less than half the price. Most tiffany items could be made similar for a third of the price (you pay for the name, advertising and luxury shop experience)

If you're not worried about getting it from a known name go to an independent jeweller with you picture and budget and they will make you something more budget friendly.

Strudelorcheesecake · 21/12/2021 12:00

Good to know @Anonmousse
I'm not at all fussed about a big name, it's just hard to know where to start so I really appreciate the advice on this thread. I've messaged a couple of independent jewellers, fingers crossed!
Thank you!!
